    Beer

Ballantine ale is still only a dollar a quart. This is what I paid when I was getting started in drinking beer, now you cant even get a tapped beer for the price.
  9. Beef tallow/frying oil.Has any of you ever tried rendering your own Beef tallow?I have been told that this is the best oil for deep frying so I am going to try rendering myself.
  10. Yumm!I have been frying in corn oil and butter
  11. The only thing I can add is Trump and his family are and do hunt and support our rights to carry and own fire arms.I think a person like Trump can bring back the value of our Dollar bill with other Countries.
  12. Little to no ice you and I will soon have more perch on the hook soon.Pan fried?
  13. No pics.warm milk and saltine crackers for me.Yes I put the crackers in the milk.
  14. I have never seen one in person. My guess 28'' spread tip to tip and overall 204''
  15. I know how you feel and by the looks of the forecast it's going to get wetter real soon.I did manage to clean roadside ditches this past week but the lawn is looking like CRAP,Spring is coming soon I hope.
  16. Started with Coffee by 730am I started sorting out hunting clothes washed and stored cleaned firearms.Except for my .22 and pellet rifle I use them year round.Nice relaxing day it has been for my self now the work begins tomorrow what the wife needs done before I start back to work,The honey Dooo's joy to me.
  17. I think so most of the machines I was looking at of that year most want an arm and a leg for.The only down side is 2 wheel drive but still a steel in my thinking.
  18. The killing of the deer by the Girls are cool. The way they butcher is far from the way I do it however being out in the woods as the show depicts is their way.Keep in mind this show is for entertainment.I come from a large family and as a child never knew where some of the food came from My mom/Dad was still cooking on a wood fired cook stove when I was 10 years old.We had a phone that was attached to the wall in the kitchen had a TV and only had 3 channels. We didn't get cable until 1994.By that time I was out making money and Partying My ass off.Back to this program it does show the way of life outside what we live now
  19. Going to pick up a Kaw this afternoon.new to me but an old machine 1985 kawasaki 230 need's a bat.Cool looking bike/wheeler.I think I paid a good price for it 200.00.I am thinking bat because we jumped started and ran great.
  20. The smaller the house/home the closer the family will be LOL!

    Beer

Heck no if I were to offer/serve a tomato based drink it would be a bloody merry/Vodka and tomato juice with plenty of horseradish and celery.I am a Bud fan but clamato is nasty
  22. I myself enjoy the show.Even though this is made for TV/entertainment it also gives a sense of what life is like outside all the technology we have.In the 30's when my dad was being a child they/my family was raised like the ways they show in the woods.Time has evolved into modern living. To answer your question could I give up my modern life to live and survive off the land yes I could.

    Beer

What would be a good beer to serve with/at brunch?
  24. Neighboring farm has cooked down 5 batches so far this season. They have nearly 600 taps quite impressive to see the amount of work that goes into the production. With the set up they have I wouldn't besuprised if they cook afew batches of shine as well.
