How do you do that? I just can't seem to figure it out-LOL!
-
No shortage of those down here. In fact, there's way too many!

This is another interesting site on this. www.americanairgunhunter.com/big_game_gallery

There is a drawback to these of course-price. They can be expensive. Too damned expensive, sometimes.

Hand pumps, or scuba tanks. This is true compressed air-not co2. The hand pumps have to be rated for extremely high air pressure-at least 3,000 psi.

Thanks, Fast Eddie!

This turkey was taken with the 20 gauge air shotgun. The squirrels were also taken with the same gun, at about 30 yards.

Hi, Paula. Actually, that is Bob Vogel, a man well known in airgunning circles. He does a lot of big game hunting with his air guns. These guns have air pressures anywhere from 2,000 psi, up to 4500 psi. That's where the power comes from.

Actually, it's what is called a PCP airgun. They are quite capable of taking deer. I actually had a 20 gauge air shotgun, which would shoot hand made shotshells, and dangerous game slugs. I will post a pic of that. One of the most common misconceptions, is the term "bb gun". Todays airguns are a far cry from that. You can get them in .177, .22, .25, .32, .308, .45, .50, and just about any other caliber.

Could someone please tell me how to copy and paste links to the forum?

In some states, it's perfectly legal. www.network54.com/Forum/414006/message/1325263997/My+2011+Muzzleloaded+Deer+with+Air

Stewart is run rampant with dogs. My experience has been that any place that has been run with dogs, you've got about a snowballs chance in hell of finding any rabbits. I've gone to Lafayetteville 2 days in a row, kicking what should be prime cover, to come up completely empty. You've got to get away from where the dogs are run. I usually find some under downfalls in wooded areas over there. Forget about the fields-the dogs have pushed those way too much.

Don't forget EIC, depending upon how much income there was for the year. The only benefit to taking your taxes to be done, by let's say-H&R Block, is if you're getting money back, and you need it fast. What a lot of people don't realize, is that, just because their taxes might be figured out by something like H&R Block, doesn't mean you're obligated to go all the way with them.

Definitely CCI Mini Mag HP's. CCI's burn clean as hell. Always worked good for me. -
Thanks, guys. Tivoli, and Lafayetteville are definitely on my list to go to.

You're not, by any chance, rinsing the meat off with sulphur water, are you? Are you letting the meat sit for a bit after rinsing to make sure as much moisture is off as possible?

Scoured the DEP properties down here a couple times already. Can't find a rabbit at all. Went through the briars, tearing myself to pieces, hoping to kick something out. Nothing. These are spots where I usually kick at least some out. Can't find any.

Yup. While I do respect the animals, that's certainly my viewpoint on it.

Has Anyone Seen These Slugs Before? They Look Down Right Nasty!
13BVET replied to 13BVET's topic in General Chit Chat
Apparently, there are two different options on these slugs. The Hexolit's, in my opinion, are good for yotes, but not something I'd use on deer. The Monolit's, on the other hand, are designed not to do a lot of damage to meat. Those, I'd be interested in trying. It's unusual that these are designed for smoothbores. -

They're not expensive at all. They say they fly pretty well out of smoothbores, which to be honest, baffles me as to how. sportsmansguide.com has some, and they seem to be cheaply priced.
