Sitting in my stand since 6:30. At 8:15 a small spike walks in front of my stand stops 14 yds away munching on berries for 6 mins broadside. He doesnt know how lucky he was. Told him to go get daddy. Got it all on video. Will post later.
Made it up to camp this afternoon with my bro. Did final check on stands. Made sure shooting lanes are clear. Pulled cards on cam. Couple of nice 6's and an 8 pt near the stand. Had to cut away some fallen trees on path to treestand. Hoping for a cooler dry morning sit tomorrow. Hope to be posting some pics of one of them on the ground. Good luck! Be safe all!
I found this little guy clinging my treestand

Same here . . . my father in law and brother in laws got me into it and my wife was a kid when they started so it was natural for her to deal with my hunting adventures without a problem. In fact she switched her day off from Thursday to this coming Monday so I can go hunt. Only thing is that she always hopes I fill my tags the first couple of times I go out.
Sure is! I was planning on doing the surgery but my eye dr said that i should wait until my mid 40's because I was 38 at the time and he said if he did it then he may have to do it again within 10 years and even if i do it I will need glasses for reading anyway. So I'm in my mid 40's and I have not done it. I may do contact lenses now that they came out with progressive contacts. Hmmmmmm . . . .
My problem is when I wear a full face mask in the winter and I have my prescription glasses on - - - They fog up! So I need to wear a mask with a mouth and nose hole so all that the deer see is my big Greek nose! (@Steve863 be nice!)
My pleasure. You are right about premises liability laws. This is why i rarely take on such cases unless i know i can prove liability from the initial interview and personal inspection of the claimed defect. If I can't determine actual notice i will turn down the case.

Not if they were trespassers and your property was posted. The type of invitee on your property also determines liability.
As far as documents as long as the document is all inclusive of those scenarios then you as a landowner should be protected.

Culver, You are correct to an extent. In order to bring a suit you would have to have some legal basis to bring it i.e. merit to the case or even questionable merit as long as you can back it up with a legal basis. Otherwise it would be a frivolous suit and the Courts frown on that and they actually will and have sanctioned Plaintiffs and their lawyers from bringing a frivolous lawsuit. I never take a case or bring a lawsuit right away unless I know I can prove liability and there are serious injuries.
Whether anyone has a basis or not people do sue with the hopes that the other person's insurance company will throw some nuisance money at them to make them go away. Nuisance money could be anywhere from $1000 to $5000.
