Well obviously the one ncountry and phade posted are different bucks they are typical racks compared to the monstrosity that was originally posted. They posted those pictures to say its not unreal for a deer of that caliber to come from the mt morris area.

Two different bucks??? Its the same truck in both pictures, and its the same deer in both pictures.

Free range deer will go where they please. It sucks someone got a deer you were after though. I had it happen to me 2 seasons ago. Neighboor shot him on the last day of late black powder. I had trail camera pics of him for 3 years a tall wide 10 point grossing just over 142. That is a hell of a buck for where i hunt in 5G. I hope another buck otakes the place of "bases", i know im still waiting for mine.

How is the draw length adjusted on this bow? -
Went on the tradition hunt this morning. We have a couple of drives we leave alone all year and hunt them thanksgiving. This is the 5th time in the last 6 years we have gotten a buck. Today it was nice 8 pointer 150lbs. He was with a doe, the rut is definetly on in 5G, new rubs and scraps everywhere.

I dont think rattling is as productive in areas with high doe to buck ratios (the Adirondacks for example). Why would a buck come rushing in looking for a fight over a doe when he has 20 others at his disposal.

Has anyone seen the picture on www.adkhunter.com. If it is indeed real, that thing is a monster. I did a search on google and came up with some more info at adkforum.com which sounds like it is a different picture than the one at adkhunter, but you have to be a member of the adkforum to view the picture. If anyone can post some more pictures that would be great. They are saying in green scored 210 B&C.

Hunt in 5G my party has shot 3 this year already.

Just wondering what everyone is seeing for numbers this year. My hunting party up in the northern adirondacks has shot three of the mangie little rascals so far. Is this a trend across the entire state? If so something needs to do done.

i know they make earth scented wicks for the thermacells. i have not tried them personally but u may want to give them a try if your worried about the deer smelling the normal wicks

Just wondering if anyone has or knows where i could find a a 28" draw cam for my old mathews featherlite (DR or DRHL). It is my first bow ever. I picked up the bow for $150 and dont really want to pay $70 for a new cam through a mathews dealer. Any help would be appreciated.
