  1. Just online send photo and printed on canvas.
  2. Nephew shot a nice 10 pt late morning opening day. This was after we gutted two other nice bucks and a Doe in the same area. Here they come chasing a Doe. Small buck then the 10 pt he shoots it dead waits a minute and out comes a giant and stands over the dead buck. He just watched for a minute and then it took off in the direction of the Doe. All it takes is one hot Doe to get them to lose their minds....lol
  3. Cameras have gone silent except for a few small bucks. I have 4 hunters coming in for 5 days. Cold front should help!
  4. Too warm and can't hunt the mornings. I'll go out Wed evening before the front rolls in. My gang starts coming up Wed evening and will be here until next Tuesday. Weather looks great!
  5. Didn't hunt yesterday just too warm. Shot the two crossbows we have and my 1187 and 35 Marlin. That 1187 is about 37 years old. It was bore sighted and I haven't touched the sight since. That is at 75 yards. 1187 on left 35 top. I'm good!
  6. Found these today all in one area. Must be one of the big guys making these rubs on the big trees.
  7. saw nothing today. May stay out of the woods and do some fishing tomorrow. Pulled cards some decent deer and the doe with triplets still has them. Just way to many yotes chasing them. I'll be trapping again this year.
  8. Just saw this. Young lady shot it durring the youth hunt in Geneseo. Buck of a life time!!!
  9. Woods were so still tonight you could hear a mouse fart! Last 4 evening hunts only two deer. Warm temps and the moon phase screws them up.
  10. On my jog this morning I saw in a distance a deer chasing another deer. Too far to see what they were.
  11. My first bow kill was on a yearling. From the ground and shot her in the neck. Severed the windpipe. Ran agout 50 yards thats it. Took a mature buck with a neck shot. Slup hit about and inch in from the underside. Crazy I tell you there was no exit wound. I found this to be impossible but even the processor could not find it. Deer fell in its tracks kicked a bit then died. I was using lightfields slugs and Im told they have some knockdown power. From what it seemed the shot sent a shock wave through the neck and killed the deer.
  12. Saw that old doe and her fawn thats it. She is huge but was moving way early today. 4pm.
  13. Love it! The hard frost today makes them all fired up!
  14. Nothing tonight. This moon is going to be a problem for the next 4-5 days. Especially when it warms up. Deer movement will slow down.
  15. My brother in law used to use a harness but gave it up because of the bar. I'm still a fan of the harness but it did get in the way when I had shot at that big buck.
  16. yes. I lost the old saying of 3 points of contact. One hand slipped the other was not on the rail.
  17. I was in stand at 4 saw 4 doe at 4:30 then 2 at 6:30 right under the stand. That was it.
  18. No life line but harness when in it. It's not a bad idea. I fell two years ago climbing down. Probably 8 foot or so landed on my side. Arm was sore along with neck but I was fine.
  19. My neighbors Granddaughter passed 11 doe so far this weekend. Saw one big buck but was on neighbors property that is leased so no shot. Yeah i think the same for her tonight. Good luck to him!
  20. Was out driving around and noticed a lot of deer on the move in the rainy weather. Was coming up my road and saw this, she stayed long enough to give me a great picture. I may have this one framed and put in the bunk house. On a side not we did a lot of driving yesterday to West Point and back. I just noticed an alarming amount of road kill. These animals are moving about so be careful.
