    arrow rest.

i use blazer vanes it doesnt really rip up my fletchings so much anymore more of how much the bicuit wears out. i did try a pretty good trick this past hunting season that kept it from wearing down and made it way 100% silent i glued mole skin on the black bristles. i end up having to replace my bisuit every summer and just kind of getting sick f it but i shouldnt complain to much one of the guys at dicks sporting goods lets me buy a new biscuit some times and return the old one for a refund lol.

    arrow rest.

ive been using the whisker biscuit for the last 5 years or so but im getting sick of replacing the disc each summer and it also messing up my fletchings. i love the containment of this rest being able to have the arrow in the rest and not worry about it falling. but im ready for something new. im looking for some opinions on any toher containment rests out there that some of you might have experiences with. any insight would great
  5. that is awsome that deer stays in the same part of the cemetery all the tim. my first time seeing him was just after christmas this year and the deer was trotting a 100 yards or more a head of my car he was trotting right next to a jogger it was pretty funny

    shed hunting?

thinking about going shed hunting tomorrow as long as the rain holds out. thinking about rying some where new between the city and orchard park area
  9. no matter what the law is 25 50 100 yards just because its a law doesnt mean its right for your situation and people should use their better judgement and hunt and shoot in a safe direction. if the law allows you to hunt with in 50 yards of your house or a place that you have permission to hunt and your able to hunt that spot safelly go for it if not go further into the woods. set yourself up so that your not shooting in the direction of the house and be smart dont hunt close to house were kids live or kids play in that yard. myself personally i like to take that long walk early in the morning to my stand and hunt deep in the woods but i do beleive that they need to open up some sort of bow hunting or something in some of these suburban neighborhoods and thing out the populations some.
  10. to go shed hunting tomorrow or not

  11. i kept meaning to take my camera with me for a good pic but always forgot but luckily he hangs out right next to the car so the phone worked good for him. i was hoping to be lucky enough to take the kids to see him and have him standing there next to his sheds but thats just dreaming lol
  12. thats what ive heard also hes been there about 6 years. i see him every time i go but ive never seen another deer in the cemetery besides him yet.

    outdoor news

i think the youth hunt would be a blast for kids the deer just walking around in their natural patterns not spooked like crazy and running. my kids only 2 years old ihe has his life time sportsman ill definitely be doing my part to get him involved in the outdoors. hes already very interested in the mounts on the walls and going driving to see the deer. i cant wait until hes 5 years old or so and start taking him out during bow season and small game once in a while.

    outdoor news

i dont mind them doing a youth hunt i just think it would be better for all if it were held during bow season. i agree there really wouldnt be crazy numbers of youth out there hunting during these special days. ive only once in the last 10 years ran into a small game or turkey hunter during deer season that was when i went to the state land near a friends camp. i mostly hunt in letchworth state park and theres no small game hunting allowed in the park and no fall turkey hunting in the park.
  17. meeting for every one who "won" the lottery sorry i just read my post and had to correct my spelling lol

    outdoor news

i agree if they want to do a youth hunt it should be held enough before bow season to let the deer settle back down. also the youth hunt should not be held during bow season what if im in full camo hunting deer from the ground and some one is shooting a slug or a rifle at that deer they arent gonna see me in the back ground. if it was held during the same time as bow season it wouldnt just have the deer spooked it would have some bow hunters spooked as well and be very unsafe.
  19. sounds like a nice vacation

  23. i think they would be able to do something like a lottery to bow hunt some of the suburban areas and maybe have a meeting for everyone who one the lottery to go over the rules and take a few shots with their bows to show that they can actually shoot.
  24. found a couple pics of him from a few weeks ago
