i use to go to this place and thats exactly what happened before i shot i nice buck and didnt get much meat back so i stopped going there for a few years and have been doing my own but last week i had a 17 hr work day on tuesday then a 10hr shift on wed and thursday i was afraid with the warm weather that the deer would spoil my wife has a friend that has 6 kids her and her family could really use the meat i think theyll be pretty excited when we drop it off to them tomorrow then ill have towork on a deer for myself. i kid you not the back strap that i got back was no longer then 4 inches and very thin ill be doing the next deer myself for sure.

ive had a ground blind for 2 seasons so far and used it twice i love my hang on stands being up above the deer

thats exactly what happened i stopped going to this butcher a few years ago and stupid me told the wife she could take it to this place because she had the 2 little kids in the car and its 10 minutes away vs 35 minutes away from the place i like stupid me shouldve made her drive the extra 25 minutes im really regretting it

i got my doe opening day and didnt get back until late at night so my wife dropped it off to the butcher for me tuesday i just picked it up ive been pumped all week to make a fresh venison stew well i open the bags no stew meat and the worlds smallest back strap and she was a could sized doe. i doe have 24 lbs of ground venison and steaks and stuff but dam i want a stew guess ill have to work hard on that buck tag and take it to a different butcher she took it to my least favorite butcher.

after the morning hunt ill have one nocked as i leave the woods and as i enter the woods for the afternoon hunt i always have one nocked i would guess that more then 50% of the time i see deer when im heading to my stand for the afternoon hunt monday afternoon i had a doe less then 30 yards away broadside feeding while i was walking to my stand she stayed around for a few minutes didnt even mind that i was there i finally had to spook her so i could get to my stand

thank guys and congrats to everyone. phade that is a hell of a buck. just got the word that the farm that i hunt on is sold and we have to go out saturday morning and relocate our stands luckily my stand is 55 yards away from the state land and most of my deer come from the trails of the state land so i know where ill be hanging my stand

opening morning doe it was the 10th one i had seen in the morning i got her at 830 am i seen 14 doe and 1 buck and my buddy that i hunt with seen 7 doe and 4 buck.

i bought mine 3 years ago im 31 now so ill for sure put it to good use. also bought my son his a couple of years ago for his first birthday

i put one stand up in prtageville 3 weeks ago one in freedom yesterday going to hang one in letchworth in a couple weeks then one more in the town of sheridan i cant wait im very excited about this season. im 31 years old right now and the stand that i hung today went into the first tree that i ever had a tree stand in 15 years ago and i havent hunted this spot in over 5 years im very excited.

very well put i agree 100% why are we having a youth hunt for these 14 and 15 year old any ways when these same kids will be out gun hunting with us in november why cant they wait. they are going to get such a false sense of hunting when they go into the woods on columbus weekend and they are hunting deer that are just in their normal routine then in november when they are hunting and the deer are running scared for their lives. i also have a young son he wont be old enough to hunt for many more years but i hope he gets to learn the same way i did go out with the older guys feel like and adult and learn how to hunt deer with the bow during bow season and the gun during gun season.

me and my family got in the car last week to go out to eat we made it 4 house down from our house and my 3 year old started screaming like crazy for a second we didnt know what the heck was wrong until i looked at his ankle dam bee got stuck between hhis ankle and pants and stung my son lol

swhacker was doing a big push a couple mnths ago buy a pack get a pack free online only but they only ran the sale for a couple of weeks i think
