When.hunting coyotes at night is there anything i would need to hunt them. Things would mostly include autherization from the DEC to hunt coyotes at night or any form of document that allows me to hunt them at night?

Im going to try and hunt some coyotes out on Carlton Hill soon. Theres definate sign of them, but to see them is another thing.

When your coyote hunting, don't you have to follow the same laws for use of gun as you did for gun season? And woukd a 30-30 work?

How did you train your dog(s), DOEWHACKER. Along with training dogs is there a specific breed for that duty or can i train any type of dog to do that task at hand like a German Sheppard, Siberian husky or a Shetland sheep, etc....

where are you located because i hunt all over wny. Are you close to that general are?

I was thinking about doing some Pheasant hunting over my break next week over in 9H area. I've done it once before, was just wondering if there are tips i could use and no i will not have any dogs. Also what is recommend ammo to use and what choke should i use in my barrel?

I know this is a little of the topic of motorized decoy, but i watched a show called live action on animal planet i think its call and by flashing light at a turkey with a mirror will intise it to actualy run towards you because it think its another turkey. Anyone ever here of that idea before, sounds crazy, UK?

mine does not have a primer though, it is the one with a electric arc to it(CVA Electra), would it just be turn off that would be the equivalent to not having a primer in?

I have a question and scenario i need answer, because I've been thinking about it all day in the woods. It is illegal to carry a loaded firearm in a automobile, does that go the same to the muzzle loader. If it is, illegal to carry a loaded ML in an automobile and your in the woods past legal shooting hours what do you do. Are you allowed to shoot it? Or will you get a ticket/fine for discharging a firearm or suspicion of shooting a deer past legal shooting time. Its a little confusing on how i worded it, any question just post them, PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!!!

What is the best way to find a blood trail in the rain? Ik its a little random, but was just seeing whats the best way to find.

I just got checked by the DEC, while coming out of the woods at Carlton. I had everything he asked for and was a pretty nice guy too.

Will they go back to their normal routines after that and bedding areas. Or will they change it up to find more protection from the elements and predators

i agree, the good thing about snow is it shows the tracks(duh!) which gives me hope that they are still moving and i can pin point where their off to. I've gotten to know possible bedding areas to. Hopefully I'll get one soon.

I've been hunting state land in wyoming 9h, and only seen one deer and that was a doe crossing a ravine. Hopefully they start moving more in the next couple weeks.

OK tomorrow im going to try, its about almost a mile in and herd good review about the area im going, just never know. this is my first time hunting the opener in Wyoming co. Hopefully its not like the last one.

For the past two days i wonder what would be tougher to harvest a deer on opening day or the days that follow till the close. I herd many times people see nothing after opening day weekend only on opening weekend. I also herd that people harvest deer after opening weekend especially the big bucks and there are people who see deer all the time. Personally i would just like to hear some views on that, because after hearing what i herd these past 2 days it makes me nervous?!!!

Ik how you feel. I went out to public land for opener i herd problly 200 shots and at times 15 from the same person. There were people trying to still hunt and not being still at all. So tomorrow if every one is gone or at least the majority maybe i can see more deer than just the one i seen today, so go luck.

Thats the same way where i hunt wyoming(state land). Theres a dozen rubs, but barely any scrape and deer activty. Last weekend was the most i seen so far. But i did fill my buck tag for the archery season so i cant complain too mutch and witb gun season in a week i just cant wait!!
