This past turkey season, near the end I have discovered a very well beaten down deer trail. While sitting in by a tree off the path during turkey season, i've seen about 5 deer per day(5 a day). This past weekend i went back onto the trail and seen activety(footprints only). Now here where the I would like some advice, i recently read an article about deer and deer trails on the internet. It said that deer might not use that trail during the hunting season in october because they tend to change up their travel routes depending on the season. Any advice if I should stick to that trail or find another trail.

Recently i have purchased a trail cam, to view wildlife. The thing i was wondering is what are some crucial tips to setting up a trail camera. Tips such as scent control, angle the camera is taking pictures, height, shutter speed, etc. I will be using the trail camera July fourth week, at my buddy cabin down in cuba to see what types of deer are roaming his woods.

What i don't get is if their mountain men living off the land. Then how come i think his name is Eustase has 3 or 4 chainsaws that look like stihls or husqavarna if their living off the land. Or the one guy with the two story log cabin i just dn't get it. Did i miss something if so please tell?

Last weekend i got my very first bird thanks to you guys from my previous topic i posted and i need help filling the other tag. While scrolling through the thread i seen a couple of guys say how they got birds with the RUN and GUN method. I have looked up the run and gun method and did find some things on the topic, but i still have some confusiuon about it. The first off what is excatly, is it like still walking for deer and what calls should i do if any?

the sako A7 is 600 i found, but i was thinking n said how many times do people actually loose magazines -

For the past couple of days I have been looking at many different bolt action rifles. Everyone i came to seem to be some what the same, but there were some difference. I lloked at the Sako A7, Winchester 70, remington 700, savage 110, ruger m77 and browning X-bolt and i was wondering which one is the better gun to go with?

Today i was out doing some pre-season turkey scouting when the weather was actually nice. As i walking to the truck with my dad i seen 2-3 shotgun shells and thought to myself this guy either got realy lucky or isnt the best shot. As we were driving down the road i screamed stop and said "dead deer". When we approached the carcass we noticed 2 other deer(3 in total). Each one look to be a buck and they were just left there to rot because some poacher4 wanted the antlers or like the joy of killing them. The point is i felt mad, a resentment towards this, why can't people just harvest deer in season.

I personaly don't like the idea even though its a great idea. The fact of shooting guns in bow season for three days, wouldn't that just make the deers more skittish by the time the actualy gun season starts.

Is anyone going to be hunting carlton hill this may for turkeys and fall for deer out in wyoming county. I found the place to have a lot of deer on it, but don't know about the turkeys though. So i was just wondering if anyone has had any luck turkey hunting on it?

This stuff is messed up. I truly beleive hunting should be based on the skills you have aquired over the years oh hunting and the experences/moments not on the trophy alone!

sounds like a very inovating idea actualy. I would buy one plus they make rc cars that make very little sound if not none. And like fastedddi said putting a call on their would be very sweet. -

So recently i've been hunting a nice peice of property out in cuba about 10min from the cuba cheese factory. I feel cuba has a lot of deer movement during gun season and chayte a lot of tukrey flocks to before the fall seson. If you hunt Cuba please tell me your succes stories or others things!!!! Cuba reminds me of silvertown in Joe Dirt:]

Now when you say small pines. Do u happend to mean lenth of the trees or the pacth there found in. One more will there be a couple of feathers in his "strutting zone" or a lot?

Wheres the most succesful place to harvest a tom in spring. Thus would be my 2nd year out and would like some tips on where to place myself in morning.

yes i hunt on the ground not in a tree stand and i hunt on state land in East otto but still havent seen any buks or does during gun but in bow i see a lot of deer
