"The sort of inflation we are currently experiencing is different from notable examples in the past. Then the inflation was almost entirely generated by the central bank, which merely had to correct itself. The Federal Reserve should taper its asset purchases, but it cannot do much to solve today's problems. Given the historic level of federal debt, the Fed doesn't have much room to raise rates without significantly increasing government interest costs. Furthermore, altering the money supply or raising interest rates will not cause the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach to work more efficiently. It will not create more trucks and truck drivers. It will not make it easier to produce and transport energy. Plenty of the underlying problems that have been exposed by the pandemic recovery predated Biden's presidency. But his party's ideology prevents him from being part of the solution. Democrats see the current situation and want more government and more spending." —National Review

243 winchester vs 44 magnum for deer which would you pick ?
Grouse replied to phantom's topic in General Chit Chat
I had a .243 in the past, but sold it to get a 7mm-08. To me it has all the advantages of the .243 and then some. Had a .44 Mag lever gun years ago too. Sold it to get a .357 lever gun, as I only use it for 50 yard or less shots in thick cover. IMHO for whitetail a 7mm-08 and a .357 will cover all the bases. -

CEO's get paid by corporations with money people have willfully given them in exchange for a product they obviously thought was worth the money. Their "golden parachutes" don't cost taxpayers a dime either. Politicians are getting rich on money they steal from taxpayers without their approval. If you can't see the difference there, you will never understand the problem. As far as private business going to space, NASA is completely funded by taxpayers and it is not held accountable for any of the billions it spends to pursue it's space exploits. A private enterprise going to space doesn't cost taxpayers a dime and they do it at far less cost to the people who need to have a vehicle to put their products in space. The government hates competition, because competition exposes the waste, fraud and stupidity of government programs for all to see.

Who do you think is offering the tax breaks? The good fairy? If the states want to pit themselves against each other, it's not the corporations that are causing the problem. Of course they're going to look at incentives to relocate. Their stock holders would shoot them if they didn't. It's the elected hacks that are destroying their states by offering tax breaks. A state with a business friendly climate, skilled labor and low taxes doesn't need to offer anything to attract businesses. And they will not only locate there, they will stay there. States that offer breaks to relocate often try to screw the company as soon as the breaks end. Corporations don't control this game, no matter how much the left wants to vilify them. The elected hacks control it, but the left never attacks them for it.

Why? It's been going on for decades.

It means their votes have caused me a lot of pain, expense and misery and I think only they should be feeling the result of their votes. They need to be the one's who suffer for their ignorant political decisions. Other's shouldn't. If only the consequences of elections only affected the idiots who voted for the winner, or supported the one who stole the election. That would be great. My votes from now on will be for the policies that hurt these leftist fools the most. It's time to put them in their place.
