Picked up the turkey fryer this morning @ sears... Now I just need xmas to come so I can start brewing!!!

Oh yeah! My extract kits arrived TODAY! Grains, malts, yeast... I sure hope I am getting that brewing kit for xmas otherwise I just wasted some $$. I also got two bottle warmers and some extra temp stickers for the fermentors. I'm so excited to start brewing! BTW I have to pickup this on sale turkey fryer tomorrow morning @ sears. The whole fryer with the 30 qt bucket / burner / thermometer for 50 bux!

Agreed! I wish my wife would buy me a rifle, but then again, I can't complain, she is buying me a safe for xmas / birthday.

Is ice fishing any fun? The whole cut a hole sit and wait thing would drive me nuts I think.

the Cannon is 30min @ 1200 degrees... The other one is 30 min @ 1400... The problem is, anything "better" with higher fire ratings is just out of my range for now (and quite a while). There is a quite a big jump once you go from these types of safe's to the better ones.. I've also read you can bump the fire rating simply by adding another layer of sheetrock inside the safe as well, obviously you loose interior space, but hey. I would hope 30 min is enough btw!

I think you should be blaming land owner your leasing from.

You should talk to the person your leasing from. Just an FYI, the landowner is the one who has to give permission to the renter (in your case the farmer) to allow those permits to be used. I think I'd be pretty upset if I was leasing a hunting lot and that was happening.

Me too!! But looking forward to spring Turkey now. Also now after having 1 season under my belt on the new property I can move some stands after seeing where the deer are traveling. I found a few trails this weekend after taking some walks that would make perfect bow stand area's for next year.
