So google released this new augmented reality type game for android. The game "world" is the real world, it uses the phones GPS to tell where you are. Essentially there is a good and evil side and you battle for control over area's, eventually leading to the games end. Anyways, if anyone is interested. Well the goal is to have a room for my crap, so with the desk I'm going to extend it along the other wall as well. This way I have a little workshop as well for my hobbies. Put up a ton of shelves for all my junk, toss a TV in there.

I thought I had posted something on this but I guess not. My wife is kicking me out of the office so we can make it a full kids playroom. We have limited space b/c we unfortunately do not have a basement. I have a pretty big attached garage (deep), so in the back I made a small mini man cave / office for me, myself and I. It's small, however I didn't want to take up to much valuable garage space. So whats going in there? I have a small server at home (backups of HuntingNY go there, personal stuff, movies, etc), my desktop PC, and my CCTV DVR. I'm going to build a custom desk, 3/4 inch Oak ply with no legs (wall to wall with support brackets). Anyways, I threw up a wall, tossed in a steel insulated door, ran electric, cable, and ethernet. I put in a subfloor, and had left over 3/4 inch bamboo flooring I had left over from when I did my upstairs. I just tossed the first coat of paint on last night, went with "Urban Sunrise" (grey). Some pics attached.

I just finished up my Apple blind. Its made of bamboo stakes with apples stacked on all of them. Can't wait to try it out in a few days. Best part is, if I get hungry, I just turn my head and chomp!

Can't agree more, be safe out there this season. Safety on, know what you are pointing your gun at before you even pick it up (your scope is not the same thing as binoculars).

I would like to carry my pistol during bow, but not for humans.

If I shot the first thing that walked by I'd have some meat in my freezer now. But.... The rifle season starts the weekend so I'm not worried. Good luck and have fun!

So this weekend is opening day for rifle for the SZ - Who is excited? I've been stuck at home the past two weekends because of Hurricane Sandy... Power is back (as of Monday Night, 14+ days on the generator was not fun). I'm soooooooo ready to get away and head up to my fathers cabin. This storm screwed my last two weekends of bow season, and more specifically the BEST two weekends according to what I have heard with the rut in full effect. Hoping they are still going to be running around this weekend. My bow season was a lot of fun, I had the biggest buck of my life roughly 50 yards out, and then another opportunity at a monster at 30 yards with no clean bow shot. Hoping I get to see either of these guys during the rifle season. I have a doe tag to fill as well.

Just an FYI. I used nothing this year, and have seen more deer, specifically more bucks then ever before in my life. I saw a few posts pop up today about scents and custom special scents etc, and it make me think back to the $$ I wasted in the past. Not saying they don't work, but what I used clearly did not help Last year I even used the fresh piss from the farm, I did have a few deer come up and sniff my drag line last year. However again, I saw more deer this year then last. Live and learn.

I wish newsday had some more hunting articles. He does a few from time to time.

I hope so! I missed the last two weekends of Bow because of this damn storm.

Still no power... Made a ghetto hut for my generator. Now its snowing too...
