I'm going to make this verbatim this week. Do you think more corn starch to thicken the sauce? Or maybe less bbq sauce ? Wife and daughter like the sounds of this, as do I

about a teaspoon of corn starch mixed in cold water at the very end, add more if needed. I do it all the time for sauces and gravy and it doesn't effect the flavor.

No thanks but I do like vacationing there  funny part is a guy from usa can go hunt overthere on a guided hunt with no problem you don't have to do anything just have  the money to pay for the hunt lol

someone should start doing that over here in the State's, that guided hunt thing sounds like a money maker.........can't believe nobody over here came up with that idea yet, those Europeans are always one step ahead of us.

  3. I used the dirt odor ones, to me they smelled like dirt, who knows what they smell like to a deer.........can't say I had any negative reactions to them, but don't use them anymore. These days I eliminate as much scent as possible and try not to add anything to the mix.

Well I agree with LJC on one thing, I shouldn't have to pay taxes on my undeveloped land.  Unfortunately, the county and school district disagree.  Just got my bill.

maybe you could leave a box on the stoop like that do at those farm stands that use the "honor system" for payment......when we all come to hunt it we'll throw a few bucks in to help defray the cost.

  5. saw it on TV first in the living room....could actually see the smoke from my house on L.I., one of the things that I remember was not seeing a plane in the sky for quite a while afterwards......seemed like a couple days. I remember all the funerals I attended after that as a lot of people were from L.I., some came months and months after the attack...some years.

Here's another avenue of consideration. I grew up poor, as a result I could not afford to engage in all manner of sports and recreations due to lack of funds. I had no financial access to sports and hobbies many of my friends could afford.

I don't see why people engaged in the recreation of hunting should be exempt from the laws of reality. If they are too poor to have land, or too lazy to go to state-lands, or indeed simply in areas where it makes no sense to be a hunter, maybe try doing something else entirely?

I lived and worked in big cities most of my career. I didn't get into hunting until I moved to an area where it made sense and I could afford access. Otherwise I would never have bothered.

right, like the kids who couldn't afford the latest gadgets...if you couldn't afford a toy gun, you made one out of whatever closely resembled one and you had fun or you just didn't participate....hell, I remember making all kinds of stuff out of things just to have fun and never complained or envied anyone else........or you just did like the one bad kid on the block and you stole someone else's toys

Don't have time for another hobby. The yard and landscaping is already enough when I'm trying to play golf, fish, and enjoy the pool.

I just buy mine in a powder form and drink my vegetables these days.

  8. one thing I will say that's bad about starting out with a cheap anything, is that if you get hooked you'll wish you spent a little more and more then likely be looking to upgrade in the very near future....with that being said, I have a Traditions Vortek and love. I doubt you can really go wrong with any of them no matter what you choose, it's probably the optics, bullets and powder that matter more then the rifle itself.

I also read people goofing on Gum-O-Flage but I thought that was a great idea. Our breath has to be the biggest scent culprit we have

Clorets is the answer, been using it for years.....it contains chlorophyll which kills odors.
