Then at least he tried......no different then investing time and money in a lot of things our children do that they eventually give up or end up not liking.

  3. "On April 22, 1970-the first Earth Day-legislation was signed creating the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, one of the first government agencies specifically formed for the purpose of overseeing all environmental concerns through one organization. The legislation provided for a melding of the duties of the old Conservation Department, with responsibility for some programs from the Department of Health and some state commissions to DEC, and the creation of entirely new disciplines within the agency."

I got this off their website....so it looks to me that it must be pre 1970 if I'm reading it correctly....sign says "State of NY Conservation Department which was replaced by NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation in 1970.

I bought my prefab shed a few ago from a place on Long Island......I was able to have it customized to what I wanted. I had the walls made 18" higher and eliminated a window. I'll dig up their info sometime today and get it to you. I'm sure they're not the only ones who do that, may be a bit far in terms of delivery cost, but I'm sure you could find a similar place closer if needed.

Seems most young guys are looking for a mature (MILF). Yet, most older guys are looking for a youngin (18+).

Idk. I've always had a great immune system. My wife, on the other hand, is always sick. I think I bring crap home from riding the train everyday. I don't get it but then she gets sick.

I shot a red fox while I was standing buck naked in my kitchen...He was  trying to break into my chicken coop in the middle of the night. I got out of bed, grabbed the wife's 20 gauge 1100, cracked the kitchen door and dropped him.

I also shot a doe one time while I was taking a leak...I  had to go, so I leaned my muzzleloader against a tree and proceeded to empty my bladder..A big doe stood up from her bed about fifty yards away...I  picked up my rifle and shot her with Big Bob  just hanging there swinging in the breeze.

I set the rifle down, finished my leak, tucked the old warrior back into my Carharts and went to collect my deer.

sounds like you have one heck of a lucky charm there.....better hang onto it.

Great day of shooting, my friend !!

COOL little ducks  !  They taste like shit, but they are really fun and challenging to shoot...

Four of us went....I'm the only one who usually won't eat them, the other guys convinced themselves that they're edible.

12/3: I didn't hunt today, but my Dad went out (of course). He texted me around 820am to say that he saw a nice heavy furred up yote went by him at just 40 yards but he couldn't stop it for a shot. He moved even faster after he let a yelp to try to stop it. It's a been a big increase in yote sightings this year for us.

Anyway, at 850am, 9am, and 910am my blind blindly bleat called. Right after he bleated at 910am a high spike came barreling out of the pines. Probably the one I saw last Saturday in same exact spot. Dad passed him up and then a few minutes later a 6 came flying out of the pines as well. My dad let out a sound to stop the buck and shot the buck around 70yds. The buck dropped right there.

Dad still has one of those flip phones still so this is best pic he could send me since he was alone. He took better pics with digital camera of himself and the buck but I won't see those till he prints them.

I'm really happy for my Dad since he's hunted like 24 or 25 full days out of the possible 28 since 11/5 xbow opener. He has seen more bucks this year than ever but couldn't seal the deal with xbow.

He's done hunting until late xbow season. I may try one more time with gun on Sunday the 11th but we'll see how I feel next weekend......

nice job......was this on the new property?

  13. if you can hang it and rinse it out that's good.....a gut shot deer that dies quickly and is recovered quickly is not the same as a gut shot deer that dies slowly and over a long period of time, it has no chance for the crap to infect and circulate through the system or however that would be described. I just cut away the crap that's around the exit or entry wound and all else is fine.
