  1. Right!!! Over there where the corn fields are that butt up against the creek , judge road I think it is ..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ya they do need to have a sit down with them !!! Lack of signage and Natives that are somewhat unclear on there boundaries is not good!!! They were saying I was lucky cause there are some loose cannons in the nation they've delt with that act 1st n think later .... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Lol, when your standing there with a bow and they have an AK and another rifle with fingers close to trigger guards . S$); in pants ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. So I go out for an evening sit in the Alabama Swamps aka Tonawanda WMA on the NE corner of state land ... Well that butts up to Native land.... Had two 20 something's Natives (not sure if Seneca Nation or not) come up to me with an AK-47 and the other had another rifle saying I was on there land.... No signs no nothing !!!!! On "SLIM " I know that this is state land !!! They were trying to say they were going to take my bow , all my gear , and my truck ( which I had just bought last week! 2013 ram 1500, like NEW!!! ) if not than blow it up .... Had them call the "chief" to talk this over , on the meantime 911 had been dialed and officers on the way !!! Chief was actually nice and said ya I was on state land , but to young ones kept saying no , our land!!! Officer cleared it up , said I was lucky they didn't shoot up my truck before coming up to me !!!! Said they deal with this a couple times each year and they have some real whack jobs in the Nation and that I was lucky ! Lost one a my best spots tonight , will NOT be going back there so they can f with my truck while I'm in the stand .... I call BS on the young ones, somebody wanted a new bow and truck ! No Sir!!!! Did not know they can hunt deer year round with whatever implement they want on the reservation ..... I asked what they were hunting , same thing as you ! My adrenaline is through the roof right now still, can't shake it, got that feeling like I was going to get a bullet in the back as they followed behind me on the way back to the truck .... Almost forgot, on the way in I come up on a deer that had been gutted , layed open, and pelvis split with big ol gash in neck ... Day or so old , I was like wtf!!!!! Well I asked to to young natives, ya caught the dam poacher and beat the hell out of him .... Don't know if he shot it on there land , but the deer lay in the feild on state land! Couple weeks ago I happened to meet a nice young guy that was squirrel hunting / scouting n said he was going to hunt approx where I was tonight by the creek .... Hope it wasn't him , poor guy ... 5. Try tossing your deer stks in some olive oil before they hit the pan , season with salt , pepper , garlic powder , and a must ! Chipotle chili powder ... I'll tAke a mid rare deer stk like that over a NY strip any day! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I'm not going to discount your statement if your consistently drawing and shooting consistently year round , not going to give numbers because simply there is no research to support the frequency of shots to pathology .... But I am going to respectfully disagree , and go the other direction .... Shoulder or as you have referenced rotator cuff pathology / issues is a cumulative problem , yes, and age related change , yes, a postural issue over time , and repetitive or cumulative stress issue to those muscles and shoulder mechanics ... Our society and technology has made everything on us easier , with computers , cars , sedentary lifestyles , etc .... This causes us to have poor movement patterns within poor rounded shoulder/head forward postures throughout our day , day after day .... This is the root cause of many spinal conditions ( bulging disc most commonly with nerve root compression) to shoulder impingement ( biceps tendon and supra supraspinatus or rotator cuff pathology ). So the amount of shooting as well as the mechanics involved especially on the wt pulling/ drawing arm are not frequent/substantial enough to be the root cause most of the time .... Some one would be more likely to have issues with the stabilizing arm ! As a PT and a hunter I continually work on my stabilizing arm/ shoulder due to stability issues from a labral tear many years ago ... As we age a few simple rotator cuff exercises can make all the difference !!!! It's not hog wash . It's scientific musculoskeletal fact ... Lol. See your local PT if you feel you fall into this category , we're not all squares [emoji41]. Dr. Joe Hitchcock, PT, DPT, OCS ... And go kill em !!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Ya know I've tested a theory of mine a couple times now and the data doesn't lie...!!!! Your in your stand n those f'ers are everywhere , n you go sit at the bAse of a tree in the same spot n more often than not they stay high in the canopy ... The past two squirrel openers I've brought my climber in with the scoped 22.... Sure nough they're all over the ground n pick em off one by one !!!! Think I'm crazy!!! Try it !!!! 8. Don't just see a doctor if your that worried about it, he will just give you a muscle relaxer and tell you to come back in a week .... Go see a Physical Therapist who can accurately diagnose And treat what sounds like a musculoskeletal problem by the sounds of it ... NY state allows direct access to PT without Dr. Prescription for first 10 visits or 30 days .... Could be a simple muscle strain by putting to much force on the muscle while it is lengthening during let down .... I'm a PT and I've been seeing 7 bow hunters for the last few weeks trying to get back due to rotator cuff / shoulder stability issues.... Good luck ! Most likely it will resolve itself in a week , if not that you need someone to take a look , Joe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
