Authorities say a 35-year-old central New York man has been charged with attempted murder after he shot at three people, wounding one of them. State police say Jesse Wilcox, his wife and his stepfather went to Albert Nellenbach's home in the rural Oneida County town of Ava early Sunday morning to look for Jesse's brother. The looked around Nellenbach's home and left. They later returned and found Nellenbach in a sleeping bag in the trees along his property. Troopers say as the three approached Nellenbach, he jumped up and opened fire with a .22-caliber rifle. Wilcox was hit three times. He's in stable condition at a Syracuse hospital. Nellenbach was charged with attempted murder and assault. He's being held in the county jail on $50,000 bail. It couldn't be determined if he had a lawyer.

That would be ashame to be honest with you that a bunch of adults would even go back and forth for 40 pages. If it was up to me I would have just edited the tittle, or deleted the hole thread but it's allright no ones perfect!! I can agree I should have worded things a bit better, and we can all move on to a new thread about a monster buck or something!! Goodluck on the up coming hunting season all. Bill.

Not necessarily like I said all I know is what i've seen in the artical, but it's pretty safe to assume they were not going there for morning coffee. The guy was sleeping and he woke up and saw 3 headed for him at his or his brothers home. I'm by no means saying he should have stood up and just started firing but we weren't there so who knows is there were words exchanged. I was just wondering what other people thought not making him sound in innocent nor guilty.

I don't know anything other than what I saw in this artical, but it sounds like the guy was maybe camping out?? Then he wakes up to see 3 people coming his way at 6am. He shoots and is now in jail for attempted murder. By the sounds of the story they said they went looking for this guys brother. So one could assume that he knew there were going to be problems. Now what if that were a troopers house and they walked up and the trooper shot would he be in jail right now?? I think he all know the answer to that!! Anyone have some thoughts on this??? Bill.

ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- An Oneida County man was accused of attempted murder after shooting at three people. State Police say the victims went to the home of Albert Nellenbach, 35, on Webster Hill Road in the town of Ava around 6 a.m. Sunday. Jesse Wilcox, 31, Christy Wilcox, 26, and Lester Platt, 50, were looking for Jesse's brother, Jared Platt. According to investigators, they noticed Nellenbach in a sleeping bag near the tree line. As they approached, Nellenbach allegedly jumped up and started shooting a 22 caliber rifle at them. Jesse Wilcox was hit in the ear, elbow and back. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he is in stable condition. Nellenbach is now charged with attempted murder and first degree assault. He was arraigned and sent to the Oneida County Jail on $50,000 bail.

Obama's way of thinking . . .
HuntOrBeHunted replied to Deerthug's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I'm sorry to say if anything it's just the opposite, I haven't meant a black person yet thats going to vote for Romney. And i'm not racist but I try to look at the truth. These people will vote for Obama and know next to nothing about whats even going on in the campaign run. But hey thats just what I think I've seen enough of... " The Change ". -
Sometimes theres no other way to get your point across. But good to see your a humble person, that can admit when you believe you may be wrong. Bill.

Well being pretty new to this site I can say I didn't see it 16 times lol, it only took one and I'll make sure to correct my mistake. And I commented on the 1 thread I did see and let him know that i'm aware of the mistake and it won't happen again! I had meant to say civil war, not race war, I corrected it that. But he has to on to something other then just taxes to make it so public. Idk lets hope all is well. We are at war allready and with the hole Syria thing going on we have enough on are plate..

Anywere from 10 to 15 feet for me. My uncle goes 20+ and swears by it but everyone has personal ways of doing things

Opps didn't notice that section. When I said your thoughts, I was more less asking on the hole civil war thing. I mean I know a lot of people think that different things are going to happen as far as war and such but civil war is news to me. I'm more worried about the hole China and Japan thing personally. Bill.

A Texas leader is warning of what he calls a ‘civil war’ and possible invasion of United Nations troops if President Barack Obama is re-elected. Lubbock County Judge Tom Head is convinced that Mr. Obama winning a second term would lead to a revolt by the American people and he’s is pushing a tax increase for the district attorney’s office and the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office. He says the money is needed to “beef up” it’s resources in case President Obama wins the November election. Judge Tom Head (credit: Lubbock County) In the event of civil unrest Judge Head said he’s concerned the President would hand over sovereignty of the United States to the U.N. and that the American public would react violently. “He’s going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the U.S. to the United Nations, what’s going to happen when that happens?” Judge Head told FOX 34 in Lubbock. “I’m thinking worse case scenario,” Judge Head explained. “Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe…we’re not just talking a few riots or demonstrations.” The West Texas judge’s proposed tax increase is to help the sheriff’s office hire a law enforcement large enough to protect the county and to drive away the invaders. “I don’t want rookies,” Head said flatly. “I want trained, equip and seasoned veteran officers to back me.”
