WNY I put the camera there and leave it for a few days. And your very much right I may be over hunting it. I seen all the pics and got excited to get in the woods. I have been there a few times in the past week. The thing that caught me off guard was the amount of pics I had of deer and then out of no were them dogs started coming around and the seer seemed to stop. You think I should just stay away from there for a week or so leave the camera out of the woods and try again in a few days or what not?

Thanks for the input fellas. If you guys were in my shoes what would you do? Shoot the dogs? Try and give it some time and see it the deer come back? Im trying to get a bow harvest before rut so I'll be hunting this spot hard. Again, thanks for the input.

Maybe not kill it but without a doubt put a damper on the deer movement. I had many many pics of does and a little buck on my camera. Then the dogs started coming in and I have not seen many deer at all since ( maybe 2 ). On some pics there are 2 or 3 dogs.

Looking like i'm going to be doing some dog hunting. I set my spot up got a bunch of nice deer on camera and then the dogs started flowing in. And ever since then I have seen little to no deer movement. Horrible...

Thats cool to see that many deer around. I have another question for you Dave if you don't mind. When I walked into the woods it was SUPER early like 6am, I got into my ground blind and no sooner than 5 minutes did I hear a very weird and pretty unexplainable noise. Sorta like a grunt but nothing like I have ever heard. It sorta freaked me out being that it was still very dark and I was bow hunting rather than sitting with a gun. It's hard to explain the sound it was louder and happened about 7 to 13 times and then just stopped. I didn't hear anything move so I was still wondering what it was. I was sitting close to what I thought was their bedding area. Maybe it was a deer bedded down and they heard me getting in my blind?

What to do about the animal loving neighbor?

Sounds like a old miserable POS .. Really though I hate when people try and ruin a hunt..For what? Sounds like he wanted to scare the deer away when your in the woods. And running dogs threw your land is just over doing it. If he doesn't like what he's seeing he should turn his head. I would try saying something to try an get on the same page. But truth is he doesn't sound like a person that wants to be on common ground. It's a horrible place to be in when you own land that your trying to hunt it. Good luck on a peaceful outcome. -
Oh believe me Dave I wouldn't take a bad shot. I'd rather take no shot. I was more talking about bow hunting in the rain. ( I know I should have made it more clear in the tittle ) If I was shooting my rifle in the rain I wouldn't be worried about the deer taking another step. But I'm new to the bow hunting scene and just tlearing a few tricks. Have you ever shot a deer in the rain Dave?? Do they move at the same times you think or do they just stay in their bed like I do lol. Thanks for any input trying to make a harvest with my bow this year!

Nice man 2 acres why wouldnt you be able to take a safe bow shot. Just wondering?? Some really nice bucks hard to turn down something that nice right in the back yard -
Thats what I was thinking. And the camera that has most my pics happens to come from a city in oneida county. Lots of rain but I have seen a lot of pics that make me want to be out there rain or shine lol. Have you had any luck in Oneida county this year.
