Nice, I was intending on hitting the lake this weekend but that didn't work out. I'll be trying to go this weekend and fishing for bass myself. I've been working on a few plots for deer season! I'll let ya know how I make on on the lake. Bill.

Taking hunting trips to the ADK mountians for early beer is a great idea and semi local if you live in NY.. But I second the tent and back pack style now thats really camping. Watching a flat screen tv cooking on the stove just doesn't give off the hole camping feel to me personally.

Why in the world would the governmenet not want the yought hunting. Sounds like a set up for failure, they make less and less schools, parks,and things to do to keep the kids out of trouble. But they make more and more prisons and legal types of drugs. What a disgrace.

Anderson Cooper of CNN reported, young black man shot while in police custody in Jonesboro Arkansas. Jonesboro police say the young man shot himself in the head. Victim’s mother said police killed her son. The entry womb was to the right of temple of the victim’s head. According to the police, the victim shot himself while handcuffed. Police insist that the young man shot himself in the head. A 380 automatic pistol was used in the shooting. According to CNN, Ms. T. Carter, victim’s mother said her son was left handed and he had spoken o his girlfriend prior to his arrest. That does not seem like anyone suicidal. The police cars at the scene were equipped with cameras but were positioned back- to- back therefore the cameras were not in a position to take pictures. The body was taken from a police car to the hospital; therefore, the crime scene was altered. Carter was arrest on a $10 bag or marijuana. FBI is looking into the matter. The FBI will determine if the victim’s shot was suicide or homicide. The FBI website reports, among the single bias hate-crime incidents, 70.0 percent were victims of offender’s anti-black bias, which is more than any other ethnic group. Overheard this story on CNN news, black male was found dead in the back of a police car and the say he committed suicide while handcuffed. Very weird sounding story to me I really can't see how this could be possible. Sounds like murder, anyone else see or hear about this!! Bill.

I'm not 100% but I think they are doing the youth hunt, I over heard a few instructors at my local shooting range talking about guiding the hunt. But like I said i'm not 100% sure.

I guess you would have to say licenses come out Monday were you live. I alleady have my license and no I don't have a life time license yet. But other than yet i'll be getting ready for early bow season. BIll.

I would have filled a tag. I'm sorry if I can take a good legal shot at a 10 point buck I would do so. BUT assuming they were hunting outside of New York and most likely on a deer farm, I to would have done my best to set them free and continue to hunt. Here in NY fighting or not i'm going for a 10 pointer providing the right terms! Don't hate me if you disagree!! Bill.

The .243 is a great starter gun for deer season it's a good gun in general. And im pretty sure you can get a nice .243 a lot cheaper than say a 30-30 lever action. Goodluck with your choice. Bill.
