  1. Definately roadkilled Doc. It was only feet off the shoulder of the road. Actually the 3'rd one in 2 weeks to get popped right at the deer x-ing sign here. Good to hear they're starting to drop around some of you guys. I thought for sure I would have seen one by now as much time I've spent looking.
  2. My sincerest appologies to all that replied and never got a responce back from me. I assumed after a month there was zero interest in these and never checked back down here. Figured I'd dump them elsewhere at a later date when I finally got around to it again. For any inconvenience I may have caused, my price has been slashed to $110 for both shipped TYD. They are sitting here collecting dust. I'm very happy with my Primos Blackout and looking to put the funds towards another one. Again, I am terribly sorry for overlooking your replys and bumping this back up at a new discounted price for anyone that may still be interested.
  3. I rode through a swarm while mountain biking the other day..... I'm a lot faster than I gave myself credit for, lol. I didn't slow down to see what kind they were.
  4. Not having any luck here yet. To make matters worse, this doesn't help none. Must have got popped within the last 2 days because it wasn't there my last time through. I reckon it'll be any day now for a few of the lucky ones to hit the ground running. I've found one set of tracks so far but that's it. Looking forward to getting some more pics of them this year.
  5. Here's another batch I found along a roadside ditch today in a little better light. These guys looked a little older than the others and were already developing attitudes....and teeth! Sure doesn't take long for them to out-grow their cuteness. When I tried to push one along with my foot out of the tall grass, he started snarling and snapping like a rabid coon and just about ran up my leg, lol!
  6. Lol, sorry man...not my place to interfere with mother natures bigger plan.
  7. My neighbor called me up and said the bear's in her yard tearing up her bird feeders,lol......"I'll be right over"!!! When I got there, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him mutilating a young 6pt buck! I sure hope this guy sticks around throughout the summer, but he has ZERO fear of humans. Gotta admit, my guard goes down a bit when you see him playing with stuffed animals, lol When he was done with that he moved on to the fruit trees, lol.

Grab the paint cans and a few cold cans and lets get to work! Grats Red!
  9. Thanks guys! I guess it's like anything in life...you get out of it what you put into it. I spend an awefull amount of time seeking out these critters and learning their habits. The pics don't always come as easy as they may seem or under ideal conditions.
  10. Sorry to hear this bud. Sounds like you guys made good of the times you shared together.
  11. First thing I'd check would be the foot valve. Sounds like you're loosing prime through a broken line or faulty foot valve.
  12. Found these fuzzy little guys watching me look for something to take pictures of! Had a pretty harsh/uneven light at this hole so some of the pics got blown out a bit.
  13. Thanks guys, we don't see many here so this was an extra special encounter especially considering the closeness. My guess....maybe 130-140lb'ish. Not a monster by any means but I bet he could have found a way to fit some of my body parts in his mouth...some maybe not,lol Guess I'm gonna have to find me a NY montain lion now. If it's out there, I'll find the SOB,LOL! I don't think bugs and bucks will compare anymore.
  14. Southern Erie county. Holland area.
  15. Alright guys, I already gave ya a basic lowdown on this dude. This is the crap I live for! I saw him feeding in the grass and got set up for some long range shots...which I got plenty of. Then he spotted me and became curious making his way in to 20ft before making himself comfortable and munching down the greens. At one point he got my wind and began huffing at me and took a few bounds my way. Assuming he was just trying to intimidate me I sat tight and he layed down and went back to feeding! For 2 hours this went on and at times he was so close I couldn't frame him entirely at 70mm! What an AWESOME day in the sticks again! Here's a few of my fav's!
  16. Pretty sure he could find a taker for a free "golden shower" if he checks craigslists personals section
  17. Smooth green snake- really nice find Single_ shot! We used to have a ton of them here but most I see now are run over by cars. Makes me want to spend some time playing in the culverts to see if I can pick a few out!
  18. Beauty shots Dave! I'd like to see a cross between one of them and a turkey vulture! What a majestic bird that would be,lol
  19. Nope, I noticed the red eft first, then noticed the toad eyeballing him. I replaced the lizzy with a crawler and the hopper feasted!
  20. I wonder if these fungi have anything to do with it. I think he's hallucinating too. ...finally some real chow slithered by and the fun began. First he's gotta catch it. oh crap, it's getting away! Mmmmmm-mmmm, goood.... DEEEELICIOUS....time for desert!
  21. LMBO- ever wonder why you see all them shoes laced together up over the telephone wires. That's what happens to her collection when she messes with a mans suds!
  22. I've never hit one head on but had 3 of them run into the side of my truck. Same location on 3 separate occasions. Two of them were consecutive mornings on my way to the hunt.
  23. Thanks guys! ants- the turkey calls only come out as a last resort....like being mauled by a NY mountain lion. I can scare anything and everything away with them things and I get to leave the side arm and pepper spray at home, lol
  24. Last year I found my final antler July 30'th...this is just an intermission.
