Agreed. Unfortunately, most people want to enjoy the spoils without fighting the war. Hopefully people will wake up and the movement to protect our lands will gain some momentum. Right now I would say the odds aren't in our favor.

Great post. I have been following this battle lately and it is sickening to see our public lands anywhere in this country go to big money. I've joined Backcountry Hunters and Anglers and donated what I could and suggest everyone who can do the same, even if you don't personally hunt or fish public lands.

The pic is loading now, I agree it's definitely a hen Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

My son shot a jake a couple years ago that had no spurs, not even little nubs. I have also heard of full grown toms without spurs, it's a genetic defect. It's possible you shot one of those, your pic isn't loading for me, so I can't tell. I have also watched a hen go into full strut and gobble, so who knows what you shot! If a bearded hen showed itself right now I would take it. I really want to make a wingbone call and hen bones work best. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Thank you!

I recently came into a position as Measurer's chairman for the New York State Big Buck Club. I will eventually be doing sort of a class/scoring session for potential new measurers. I am looking for complete racks over 100" and decent size sheds, especially with abnormal points. We are a non-profit organization and 100% volunteer, so I can't ay for them, but I will pay the shipping cost. Before you guys start hammering in the insults, I know this is a real shot in the dark. Thank you

This is made by Jimmy Schaffer of Oak Ridge custom calls. It's like new and made of zebrawood with a slate over glass surface. Comes with his two piece dymondwood striker. Asking $65 shipped in the US.

Both stand and sticks have stealth strips on strategic locations to lessen chance of unwanted noise. Straps are brand new. Paperwork is included, but NO SAFETY harness. $250, local pick up only. You can have a mount scored without it being x-rayed, the rack just has to feel solid and not feel like it has a split skull. Never heard the x-ray idea before, that's a first. I have it at high 130's, low 140's. Definitely worth having a NYSBBC measurer score it, our minimum gun typical is 140. We have a banquet every year where we show off bucks entered that scoring season. It's a good time and once in a lifetime for most, so if your interested I would jump on it.
