  1. Sorry Rick, I applied for one but only got a preference point. I would have given it to him too.
  2. Since I have always wanted a nice bear skin rug, I figure I would skin and quarter it where it lay.
  3. How early in September? A buck in velvet would look awesome on my wall! Edit: I read it again and see it's antlerless
  4. That's how I feel. Unless it is a cub or has cubs, I am probably going to shoot it.
  5. I get it. It came across that you were implying superintendents don't do anything. My point was any professional working for a school who is doing their job correctly is busting their rear end. Different interpretations of the same post, thanks for clarifying. Carry on.
  6. I work for a school district. Anyone who thinks that the professionals that a school employs don't work their tails off they're dead wrong. I am not trying to start an argument biz, but the passion and hard work I have seen inside a school is not matched anywhere else from what I have seen. Sure you have exceptions, but thats no different than with anything else, including our sport. We get upset when we get thrown into the same category as slob hunters, same concept.
  7. Another thing Wooly, I like to support the small guys who still make things one at a time and have pride in their craftsmanship. Especially in the hunting industry.
  8. That's it for me. I don't lose many things, so I am sure I will have it for a long time.
  9. Peter Fiduccia has a dvd out that covers a lot of their vocalizations and how and when to use each call. It is informative to those wanting that type of info.
  10. Thanks Phade. I should have a Vector grunt call within two weeks. I was looking for a new grunt and I like quality stuff. These look to be quality.
  11. I bought a Samick Sage this year to learn on. I would like to eventually be a traditional only guy. I just need to sell my house(it's on the market) and move to another where I can shoot a lot more frequently.
  12. It's a big problem where I hunt too.
  13. Congrats! I am a father of 4 and can say that each one has been a gift.
  14. That's different, I am trying to figure out if I like it or not. Cool though.
  15. He's a beautiful deer regardless of score, but I would say your pretty close with your guess of 125.
  16. In Cayuga county I never saw one until 5 years ago, now I see a couple every year.
  17. I bought one and might take it out a few times, but will be using my compound more.
  18. I am trying a ghillie suit this year, I am confident it will work well. One thing I do is sit flat on my butt. The smaller profile keeps me from getting spotted a lot more than when I stood or sat in a chair. You need to practice that way though, it is slightly tougher to shoot flat on your butt. Also, I try to set up so that the deer will be past me when I draw.
  19. Still for sale. Would be willing to drive a half hour to meet someone.
