  1. I have one I use for when I do things like European mounts. Works very well.
  2. It's like opening day number two. I have had some pretty good thanksgiving hunts.
  3. Gross in mid to high130's, net in mid 120's. Those beautiful split g2's hurt his score. He's a great buck regardless.
  4. After opening weekend 80% of my hunting is still hunting. I like to follow edges created by terrain changes.
  5. Me too. I will email them and let them know I heard about it on this site.
  6. Awesome looking buck, congrats!!
  7. Remington 7600 carbine in 30-06 with Federal Fusion 165gr ammunition
  8. Congrats man, sound like one heck of an accomplishment!
  9. Rick, are those cedar trees?
  10. I put a couple rounds through the barrel before I hunt for the same reason.
  11. I hunt state land pretty frequently and never had an issue. I just use common sense, wear orange, and use a green colored light when walking through the woods in the dark. Orange isn't very visible at night.
  12. Very nice! Now get some flip open scope caps and your all set.
  13. Sounds like a great experience! Keep at it, I missed 4 buck my first year at the age of 14
  14. I prefer ground hunting with a gun or a bow. I don't like hunting the same spot very much. I prefer to be mobile and believe the first time you hunt a spot is your best chance. Treestands are a pain when hunting this way. Hunting off the ground is more challenging, but it can be done.
  15. That was my reason for going with Excalibur. I already have my compound to have to keep tuned, I didn't want another. I also like that I can change my own strings and un-cock it instead of having to fire it off. Simple is good
