  1. KOA's rock! Stayed at different locations just last month. In my opinion you have no reason to worry about your safety (especially if you're packing heat). , They're filled with families on vacation having a good time. Figure out where you want to stay and check their website, how expensive could it be tenting it. Go and enjoy.
  2. The days allowed to hunt crows Fri. - Mon. if I remember correctly has something to do with Mexico ie; the crow being it's national bird or something or another. Google anyone? Anyway crows are great fun to hunt and a worthy adversary.
  3. Just a heads up. Supposed to be a good sale and free shipping on some items starting tonight at midnight CST.
  4. Denied 3K with a preference point. Now I have two PP's for next year.
  5. Can't you shoot at your place in Sullivan Co? Go up for the weekend type of thing, and do some shooting? Just asking and welcome by the way.
  6. Yep, plenty turkey, deer, and even coyotes in those parts!
  7. You could check out Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Also the Eldred Preserve.
  8. $5700. Like new! Less than 5500 miles. ABS. Rear panniers. Tank bag. Seat bag. Fender extender. Center stand. Fork brace. Mirror extenders. Madstad bracket (windshield).
  9. I spent this past Monday morning turkey hunting in Sullivan County (3K) and did not hear one gobble. In fact the only "action" I had was a territorial hen stalking me. Other people I talked to reported the same lack of birds. Bummer when you get up at 2am to drive for 2 1/2 - 3 hours and then not have someone there to greet you at daybreak.
  10. #1877, oh well. My brother drew a decent number though.
  11. Sab here is the number 845 856 7553.
  12. There's a place just off Rt. 97 in Sullivan Co. north of Port Jervis. Is that close enough to where you hunt? You'd have to call him to see if he makes what you're looking for. If you're interested I'll try and track down his number
  13. Very nice buck, nice hunt - congrats!
  14. ....or you could have picked it up and held it in the palm of your hand. Bear turd
  15. Thanks. Bought a few more boxes today as well as a few boxes of Hornady SST which are on sale at Dicks now for $ 9.98. It'll be interesting to see how well they group. Then I'll have to pick up some Rem. Accu tips and check them out.
  16. Thanks. Nice to know I won't be getting one this year.
  17. ..follow the 'yote tracks..just kidding...ya just gotta go out and look. Hopefully you'll spot that rack sticking out of the snow. Bring a camera.
  18. Where do you think you hit him? An easy to follow blood trail for 250 yds. sounds to me like a decent loss of blood. I would go look for him tomorrow and expect to find him dead. Is it snowing up there?
  19. I don't know blur, I've never really hunted with a slug gun before to know for myself but not having much of a blood trail does sound illogical. Hopefully I'll get the chance to put these things to the test next month.
