  1. If there is an issue after it was grouping well last time, I doubt it’s the gun. I too would bet on mounting system or scope.
  2. Not to diminish the accomplishment, but I read on another forum that this buck was killed at a legal feeder and often they use supplements in the feeders like the hormones they use on cattle to aide in growth. I plant smallish food plots so maybe I shouldn't question it, but feeders and supplements are not the typical conditions. Whatever, great buck. Just was a bit surprised to learn that.
  3. Precisely. I am a cheap pen snob and asked my office to buy these specifically. I also lose one every time I pack a file as I forget it in the file.
  4. I can trim the tag ends for a 100% finish but it voids above stated warranty. No FFL required - this is a pre-safe act rubberband.
  5. In the spirit of full disclosure. It broke when I tried to stretch it over my xxl noggin. I am pretty sure it will be fine up to a large sized noggin. Willing to warranty up to that. If it breaks, send it back and I will repair again.
  6. uhhhh - you better have a lot more mirrors and cabinets for sale even with the Treeguy discount on materials!
  7. Clearly Tacks is trying to raise money for a new cape and mount so I am willing to donate this lightly used pen and well repaired rubberband. All proceeds will be used for the Tacks Mount a Buck program. No reasonable offer refused.
  8. I also asked him to add 5" to each tine but he declined. lol
  9. my regular season buck last year had a neck infection from being gored - Jason said he could try to mount it with the cape but I would likely have a very large bald spot where the infection was when tanned. He recommended a new cape and handled it that way. You need to use the same size obviously but better than a big bald spot. I actually wanted the infection but I guess it wouldn't come out like that. Pretty sure a doe cape is a no go on a buck.
  10. buy a cape - you just need to dig deeper and sell some more "crab" meat!
  11. Cough the cash up and shoulder mount. Its a nice buck you cheapskate.
  12. I thought there is a guy in Dansville that uses beetles.
  13. He is a very nice buck. I am just holding out for one of a couple of others I have seen. But nothing at all wrong with him. And I may end up eating a tag as a result. Part of the gamble.
  14. Well shooter came in a bit too late. Got stuck and had to wait him out. No rutting action yet. Bucks were ignoring does.
  15. But what is the correlation if any to big buck sightings Kev?
