Out on schkennemunk mt this final morning. Sitting next to a waterfall, maybe the worst decision I made this hunting season... Its not because I wont see deer,but I don't know if my bladder can handle this.

@Joe12: I am in woodbury field and stream. I live right next to bull mill and goosepond mt. I took my bow safety course at monroe chester club. Nice club, but from what I hear its really expensive.

There was one day I day kicked a guy out, and within a half hour he was back in the same spot. I had to have told this guy over and over again, that he was hunting on posted property nd the other half was posted by the Palisades park commission. But, did this guy listen? Nope. Ive been kicking him off 4x every weekend. I wish he would just stop and go somewhere else.

There has been a lot wrong where I hunted for the past 6 years. Low deer movement, but a lot of trespassing hunters on my clubs mountain. I seem to be pushing out a lot of trespassers this year. But hey what can you do they are in the same position as most of us, seeing little deer movement. The one way I have seen shooter bucks is walking in he swamps. Yes its a slow year but us as Hunters have to put forth more effort. Don't assume that that area is dead, just try different spots. Good luck everyone.

Today November 7th nd early November 8th weather is supposed to be snow. Its predicted 1-3 inches. I know this is not a lot of snow, being as I lived in the Adirondacks for 6 years we used to get a lot of snow. But with that i am excited to get in the woods this week with the ground having a nice white coating. How does everyone else feel about this snow we are getting? I think it will make for an eventful hunt.

Ive hunted there years ago and had great success with shooting a 7 pt and does. But one time when I was in a climber a hunter sat under neath me and I just stopped. Last yr a good friend hunted there and he got there early in the morning, and was in the middle of a deer drive where Hunters walked up to him and past him. So he told me its not worth it anymore. Ive just had a bad time obtaining permission from people because of either the libaility issue or they had a bad experience with past Hunters. So I dont know what to do in yhis situation. My other go to spot has been a victim to logging to build houses and new developments.

What is up with kyrous Joel buying all hard wood areas? Ive been looking for land to hunt with shot gun nd bow and have been having little success getting permission from farmers because of their fear of liability. Anyone have any ideas for orange county. I want to steer away from Stewart because last year I have had too many close encounters with over rambunctious Hunters shooting at just about anything that was brown. Anyone know any private land or public land?

Id say its a good size bear, and you should take a shot at him if the opportunity shows itself.

In the stand this afternoon, nothing moving not even squirrels or chipmunks. Hopefully something will decide to walk by my stand today.

I didnt even think to call the dec. When I went home which is a 3 minuet drive from the deer, and went back to see if it was bloated and safe to take, someone was in the process of cutting its antlers off. So I decided to just forget about it.

Sorry as for action yes there is does check it, as do bucks checking for dominance in the area. U could ne successful hunting scrape lines.

I hunt maybe 10 yrs from the trails nd scrapes. You dont want to put pressure on it. also Hunt it down wind. Scrape hunt for me is mainly an afternoon-evening hunt. I usual get in my stand for an afternoon hunt at 1130-1145 nd leave the area minutes before sun down. I also use a drag behind me if I scrape hunt. Key thing is scent in that area nd no pressure on that scrape area. I hope this works. good luck dirt-a-Kiss.

I know you want to sell the land, but would you give permission to Hunters to hunt on the land? Or is this strictly a sale?

Got in my stand at 630 am saw a doe at 645. Was hoping to see the 6 pt I passed up last weekend. But at 715 I heard a large thud and screeching tires. I knew something big had been hit. At 1130 I got out of my stand yo go home and right across the strretr from where I was parked layed a dead deer. When I went and checked it was the 6 point I was hoping to harvest this year. Dammit!

Apoallo- where do u live in orange county. I live in Monroe ny. We were hit big time with logging for a development being built but they lost their right to build a development and just left all the clear cut trees and a mess out of the trees. Because of this cutting we lost a lot of deer on our property.

I currently have trails end #307. Im looking into tinks doe p nd/or tinks 69. Ive had success with the 69 before harvesting both spikes nd does.

Hey guys the rut is sapposed to be 2 Weeks away. With that I know most if not if not all of us use some form og an attractant scent. I was wondering what foes everybody use and what has performed the best for the rut. Looking forward to seeing everyones post.
