my buddy has 2 .308s ive never shot a deer with one but he has.. said deer jumped about 4 feet in the air and came down in a 175lb pile of meat and didnt move an inch after... i have shot one of the guns however and in at least my opinion the recoil wasnt bad at all.. i feel i can shoot it all day with no problem.. although ive only shot ar15s a mosin nagunt and a few shotguns to compare to it

Just got in.. Guy shot a spike with a huge body in one of the spots i go to:( they were dragging it out as i went in.. Fog was heavy but has cleared out... Woody woodpecker off to my right about 20yrds. Beautiful day to be in the woods.. Maybe a little colder would help but overall nice day

the picture makes it look like an open field but its not.. there is a guy down the road that has a really nice field and i keep seeing a very nice buck only at night on the side of the road by it.. guessing thats where he lives

unfortunetly thats the house across the street.. my car scared them out of the front yard when i started it... im going to google earth the distances between my woods and all the neighboors... the 2 does are pretty damn big.. maybe 130-150lbs just by looking just did google earth.. its only 200-315ft between my woods and all the neighboors :'(

Yup. Was in Lockwood.. Just got per and internet back. But I've been there 4 tines this last week and haven't seen a single deer any day

Sat from sunrise till now.. Saw zero deer, one squirrel and a bird.. 2 guys walked up on me at about 9 said they took a shot at a yote ran my way but never saw it... There's signs of deer in these woods.. Just can't seem to find the deer... Might be time to find another spot

Sat from 11 to 5 today.. Kicked up a few birds on the way in. And the squirrel in the video.. Did find this nice blind someone made to.. Fresh deer sign all within 35 yards... Tonights looking good fora hopefully promising morning hunt

40 degrees not in woods yet. Woke up late. Wind is to the west nice and sunny.. Cold and windy last night hopefully the deer stayed moving

fist time being able to get to a computer or out of my house for that fact.. still out of powerNYSEG said another 3 to 4 days until power is back... going to get out in the woods for a nice afternoon hunt.. i talked to a few guys coming out of the woods the other day before the storm said they have been watching a big 10 on thier trailcam... hopefully i get to him before they do ... sandy on the other hand was a monster here.. whole town lost power.. not really near the coast so no flooding thank goodness

western ny looks like it will get hit pretty good.. here in putnam doesnt seem like we are going to get anything bad... but who knows.. trees come down i just see $$$ lol

went up the taconic a little bit ago to buy a generator.. not a car in sight roads were still pretty good.. few small sticks but nothing major

guy said it was 15 yard.. tested it at dicks after he cut them. hopefully the weather isnt to crappy yet tomorrow will get out and test them.. and maybe a quick hunt

just went to dicks.. got a 6 pack of the crush carbon express arrows... took a few practice shots hit bulls with 2 and was roughly 2 inches down right on 3rd shot.. anyone else have these? and what is your review on them?

think its only ulster part of orange and one other.. was looking at it today in town hall cant remember though.. 3ms over the river though i dont think dutchess goes that far

went to town hall today.. lady said that the dmps arent available for purchase again till nov. 1st.. anyone ever hear of it stopping mid-season?.. i know they dont have any 3n left was going to get 3m but said i could not purchase, maybe she was confused and thought i wanted 3n.. idk

i still cant see how water temps are warm enough up here for it to stay as a strong storm

found the place i think hes going from inside to outside.. sprayed a full can of that foam insulation stuff in.. hardened and spread out.. theres no way he can get in or out now.. just not sure where he was when i did this.. will find out tomorrow
