I wont pick apart your post because it really is for another thread because that post could be picked apart. Just more lines drawn in the sand between sportsmen. One could say an archer is a hunter and a riflemen a killer. More lines!

How about they start with knowing how many deer are killed a year before they worry about the herd size. I just now had a guy here looking at the deer and talking hunting, he says he has for years applied and received doe tags only to fill them out saying he killed a deer and reported such. I have heard and know of many that fill and never report. We dont, as hunters always do the best to help ourselves but i believe a check in for every deer killed and return of tags at the close of season. That would change the view of a few people!

So we now know you dont like hunters that target only mature bucks and now we know you dont like Bow Hunters! Care to tell the reason for the hate of the fellow sportsmen?

An Evening with Charles Alsheimer

He is one of many deer farmers that have learned much from his deer. Just watching and listening to them is a schooling in itself. Just another one of the enjoyments of having whitetails! -
Raking entry trail to stand
Four Season Whitetail's replied to WhitetailAddict11's topic in Bow Hunting
So true..Just like every other person that does it..High Fence or not! Still all headed for 1 thing at the end of the day and thats not to grow the fattest doe possible. It all comes to the same point ever time but many dont want to admit it. Ask him,Charlie,Me or most anyone else that will be truthful and it all ends in headgear. Period! -

What does the name of this show tell you and the direction it is pointed? 'Growing Deer TV' -
So now if the ones that cant have a conversation can stay out of it. Why is it that Ny would not take a lesson from some other states and have something like..A tag a day in the high deer numbered area's? Take a doe, report and show tag when buying you next tag. If a hunter wanted 10 does then he could pay for them. If a guy wanted to manage his property and take out 40 does then he could pay for them. The state would make more money, the hunter would be happy and the herd would be healthy.

Nah 18 years hunting a spot and i dont remember anything about it. Sorry but i remember way back with the party permits and i remember to 100 or so inbred vermin walking the roads at any givin time of the day. Sorry but thats not hunting for some of us. That is sickening. Now there are still piles of deer on the park and they are big healthy animals which shows in the pic. I could blow this site of with pics of great bucks taken off the park and my property but why bother. Some jacka$$ would just say they are farm bucks or some stupid reply. You talk of only 16 deer and 7 guys when fact is all those 7 didnt kill deer but who cares. The ones that run their mouths on here about what we get are the same ones that dont see that many deer in years of hunting. I will help ya out though. If you want years gone by hunting just park your truck just inside the Castile entrance and walk in the pines right there. Set yourself down right next to Everett's alfalfa field and blast away at those little guys coming across out of the safety zone. You can also do the same there on the Pankow farm. Never a shortage of deer there!

Yeah this post shows again how bright you are! A couple posts above good ole steve showed his class with a post at 10am and it sat untill you tried to cover yourself at 5pm. So again it shows who posts what. I have shown the truth and you have again shown that you are clueless about this subject. You best get back on the..Oh my Andy is gunna take my guns thread where at least you do have something to add to the class because yoou read about it sitting in your easy chair. Maybe if you tried really hunting sometime you may to really be able to help someone on this site. Untill then we all can read!

Yeah ok..My credibility is in black and white. Picture perfect fact that there are plenty of deer on Letchworth if you know where the deer are, just what the conversation was about. The people that need to know, know what we do and the couple new ones that will be shown will also. You should look back at the harvest thread from bow last year and look at that happy member of this site that shot his first book buck on the park because of the place i sent him...That my friend shows my credibility. You can show nothing on here about hunting, only the political crap you sit in a chair all day and read. Which is obvious by the number of posts you put on this site every day of every week. But then again i guess it dont take alot of thought or skill to kill those milk teethed yearlings and fawns off your wheeler huh??? -
For what it matters those deer were killed by 5 guys out of the group and 3 were still in the back of my truck. The bucks in that pic were taken by those that burned their either sex tag on the last day of bow and they were still mature deer!!! Regardless,That does not matter, you said there were no deer down there. That place is still loaded with deer if you know how to find deer where they live in a certin area. If you read my post you will see where i said they were NICE ny bucks but would not get shot where at times it has taken us 7 hours to get a 12 and 10 point out of the area we were in. A ridge or two from the road and a tag to burn then yes one of the guys may plug one. Just not worth the work to shot a 120in buck miles from the truck when in time one can be shot and picked up with a wheeler. Not real hard to find that size buck.

Shows ya how bright ya are huh? If we pass up the non-mounters on the bottom it sure would be hard to show them on the meat pole! Again you show how clueless you are of the whole conversation. You really should just sit back with your mod button and just read and wait for some sap to screw up because you really do show that you should not try to add to a conversation you would know nothing about! -
Ya a troll that has more hunting knowledge and whitetail knowledge than you ever will. That is shown by the pm's i get from some of the real people/hunters on this site. Some have gained their first book buck shot on the park last year after asking me where some good places to hunt may be or the 3 that have found themselves a place here for some great turkey hunting or the other half dozen that wants a farm tour so they can see some great animals and maybe start their own farm. Dont know how me spreading some of my knowledge to other hunters to being superhero-ish but this shows that jokes like you that dont have the drive or ability to go out and get the best that can be had are the most jealous type, which shows clearly in your post but this thread shows clearly the other 2 or 3 that are just like ya and shows up in many posts on here. So you keep to the political bullsh!t that you always spew and let the hunters in the know talk about whitetails!

Again you pipe in with useless posts without staying in the conversation. The talk was numbers duh and all those deer hanging right there im sure are bigger and older than the babies and fawns you kill off your wheeler. Some of us HUNTERS like a challenge and target older, mature deer like those hanging! -
Yes and one would come to reason that if you feed the animal the animal will stay on your property.10 acres of corn left standing all winter sure does a deer alot of good. After rut rebound and before winter yarding fill up.
-
Again monsters mean nothing..You said no deer on park and i showed you a pole full from the park period. End of story. Know how and where to hunt and you will find the deer. Pretty simple really or it should be for you seeing as you say all deer are stupid.

DEC is screwing up hunting in most of the state by not knowing how to manage it. As is shown by them having to add another 17% If they can break down DMU for doe takes they can manage each one for total deer take. Just a quick look at other states would show the answer. I believe you may want to learn who really manages the deer on Letchworth state park.I am pretty sure it was not the DEC that put on the awesome antler resticts.I dont believe the DEC sets the number of people on that park. I am also smart enough to hunt both properties and the park when the time is best to kill the biggest whitetail possible. Again you forget that i pattern and hunt mature deer. Most anybody can walk out and KILL a deer but to HUNT a class of deer takes a little more most times than just riding up the hill and killing the first young deer out looking for a snack. I dont give a rats behind what people think of me because i only kill mature deer. You would think at your age you would do the same but i guess the thrill for you is just killing any deer.babies or not.You have fun with that.

138 the smallest? Yeah we should all use that scorer. The truck and mount might get shot down there but not the rest. The pic i showed was the last 11/2 days of bow and the first day of shotgun. There was a 120in 8pt and 2 does in the back of my truck with no room to hang and the better bucks came on day 3. Regardless the fact is you said the deer were thin in that area and thats a crock if you know how to hunt where the deer are. You might not know how to keep deer on your property but the park and my farm do not have that problem. Sorry but we dont take Trail 15 or the easy trail on Gordy although we at times go down Gordy and cross the river there to get over to a great spot on the east side. Kinda swift in spots but a rope tied off at each bank takes care of that problem. You want to meet us you better start looking around the Archery Field and oh sweet Helen....
-
No patting needed here. Sorry but it takes some of us a little more to call ourselves hunters. You on the other hand jump on the wheeler, drive up the hill and kill the first deer that walks out and still has milk teeth. Ya thats hunting..You down play guys that want nothing but mature bucks but have no problem killing baby deer..Yup you a hunter! Thats called killing!!! I would invite ya on the hunt some time but i have seen the pic;s...It aint for you!!!!!!
-
Yeah ok you have it down pat... This fall we can meet at overlook we go down and you can lead the way, By the way,,,Those bucks you posted although nice Ny buks..all would walk minus maybe one. Now a ridge or two down from the road a couple of the guys would have plugged them. Not worth the work down where we go. Driving deer..Thats a good one. We leave our bows and equipment in our trees overnight most nights. This is no argument this is a fact that i can show you herds of deer about any givin night and 10 deer may take care of just the fawns. Manage the land and the deer will be there.
-
Yes Sir its a driving force that pic of the big buck on the bag. Thats what 99% of todays hunters are looking for and the bad ones will go to any means to get them. The bad guy feeds the corn and the good guy grows the corn but both want the ending to be the same and that is alot of bone laying on the ground in front of them!
-
Very tough to do that one unless you can find a den tree. If you want them gone just trap or even live trap them!
-
I have. Also use the Buck Jam when i mix my feed. Thats what i use to get all those steroids that people say i use to raise big deer to stick to the feed. I just think its kinda early to be dumping 5-6 bags in the woods yet. Maybe 1 bag per camera and he has a pile of cameras!
-
Do you think it could nave been one of any number of deer farms down in that area or someone that had any kind of livestock! There are a pile of farms down that way that have deer or elk. That is a bit high for a 50lbs bag of corn though. That said im not real sure if the deal in Ny is even 100% on the books that there is a Law for feeding. Baiting and sitting over it yes i believe there is but not sure if using the minerals and such when not hunting is. Would have to see the Law that says it. I know they say we..should not...but is there a law?
