Love Mine, One of the best hunting items ever bought........
-
Never hear much complaining with cut on contacts. Stingers have been great for me, Bow or Crossbow most just jump a time or two after pass thru and have no clue they have been shot. Then the wobble and drop! Sweet!

The only thing Fouled up is you and your clearly clueless thoughts on anything about who, what and how about CWD in any herd fenced or Not? Reading your post the only one compounding the problem is you. Read something and get yourself some knowledge before coming on here making yourself sound like an dipstick.

Bingo! I nature and a balanced herd the best males of the herd will do most of the breeding. It will in turn be a genitic thing in part because the best of the best will pass down the best. In todays world it is all about bigger racks on whitetails but as was said...Most wont own that fact even though every night and every sit they hope to have the next record buck walk in front of them......But will settle sometime with a smaller animal and then the meat thing comes into play.

Oh rifles make a big diff eve today. I have friends that take great 150-180in bucks and they speak of these little wood lots in huge crop fields..The deer run out a million miles an hour and go 200-400 yards out into the fields and just stop and feed or even bed down right in the wide open. They have learned how to survive, Now throw in these 500 yard rifles and those big bucks are dead in the field. A shotgun-Muzzy only use would allow many killed but would save a huge number also.

QUESTION ON REDFIELD PROPERTY
Four Season Whitetail's replied to 607 HUNTER's topic in Big Woods Hunting
Buddy has a camp up in that neck of the woods but he bought it as a retreat and winter fun. He is not a big time hunter but he says they are few and far between. Might be what some are looking for and thats great but by your post and what your wishes are as far as animals i am not so sure about there? -
QUESTION ON REDFIELD PROPERTY
Four Season Whitetail's replied to 607 HUNTER's topic in Big Woods Hunting
Myself i would run away. The deer take such a hit up in that area and when early winter comes what deer are in that area leave and that could be early in the hunting season. $400 an acre is prob about right for land to ride sleds on or Ski. All depends what a guy wants but if i were you i would by less land in a much better area for the money you are willing to spend. 10 acres in a great area compared to 100 acres in the snowiest and i think the worse rated place in Ny to live? Good Luck whichever way you go! -
Big Bore Air Rifle Comment Period

Just what we need......Keep the kill quiet..... -
This would leave no doubts. Myself I like Ar on the lands I hunt. All our properties are already in Ar but I really hope the park goes back in. Few mores years and new minds in the DEC and they will finally realize that the big bucks they want are a product of short seasons and no guns in any part of the Rut

DEC may have an issue...
Four Season Whitetail's replied to growalot's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Not worth the pain. Might just as well go with the real stuff. -
You will never get the true story on take and age until you have a must report deer/return tags law. DEC picking and choosing what bucks to look at any givin time does not cut it. Maybe the people that pay the taxes on their property should have the say on what size and how many animals are takin on their property? Many do and have great results.

Thats why they are doing it for other reasons,,,,Hunter Satisfaction! People want big and will spend what it takes to get big, Ny is now going to try to latch onto some of that revenue. Ar may be a start but they need more serious changes if they want to attract out of state hunters that will pay big to hunt big. Take guns out of the rut for 2-3 years and watch your bucks grow!
