  1. SCI gives credit for all bone grown regardless of location on rack. No deducts for xtras?
  2. That's why most people go SCI instead of BC! The deer grew the bone and should be scored as such. Strange to hear some say this is a strange kill for a Ny buck? Very nice yes for sure but there are many a buck this size and bigger killed in this state each year. A little tweak here and there and there would be many more!
  3. Yeah i dont think i would leave that thing around to run the hood...
  4. No he would not go for that shot because he is a hunter..Period.
  5. The Hogsback was flooded big time. The few years that the bottom looked like this during hunting season were the best years ever. The Park flooded with water and the farm flooded with Whitetails.
  6. So did you stop these guys from the tracking job when they got to your land or did they give up? Did they contact you about it crossing onto your land and then say they didnt want to continue and then you offered to look for it in the morning? Nice Buck.
  7. I remember that night, Put your tag on a set of antlers of a deer you cant eat and you can keep the rack. LOL..Riiiiiight! I believe some of those guys have no clue about hunting. Now shoot a buck that say has a broadhead stuck in its shoulder that makes the meat bad to eat and they will give you another tag and tell you to dispose of the rotted buck any way you like. Some of those Park guys are something else...
  8. They are nice and every one has something different than the next. They really start to pile up around here and the bigger more non-typical they get the more of a pain they are. I am tinkering with the Xmas Tree idea just not sure if i should do an indoor or an out?
  9. One would think one would come in and Pardon the Safe Act in Ny State!
  10. So True.. Many would be shocked the numbers and success of the hunters with larger size parcels that are calling the shots and doing their own thing on their properties. It could turn sour with the wrong hands involved but then again..Its their paid for 3 times over property so if they ruin it its on them i guess.
  11. LOL...It seems that your last 2 posts fit right into the way many Ny land owners are thinking and doing on their own property in this state now. Some cry about it and some do it. Really if it was all private land one could use whatever weapon they deemed fit during the open deer season. When state land gets involved then the state has the say what goes on with the land they pay the taxes on.
  12. So True...This all goes back to piss poor Mgmt by our great DEC. They keep throwing seasons and tags when what the herd really needs is less seasons and less tags. Just wait till they find the next case of CWD in this state and the sharpshooting starts on areas that already have a hurting deer population. Thats a fix all dont ya know?
  13. Early Muzzleloading season, I hear my buddy shoot at dark on the other side of our farm, I drive around the other road to meet him at dark and he is standing at the road gate. shot a doe at last light. We throw the guns in the truck and grab our lights to head back in, He was a new hunter at the time, we find the doe in an old grown up field, he never gutted one so he held the light as i went elbow deep. A few minutes in the light is gone and i say,,hey cant see here? He says i heard something run thru here. I saw..whatever get the light down here, i get back to the job at hand and the light is gone again, this time i hear something also and stand up from being bent over with blood dripping off both arms only to see a Coyote standing about 20yds away snapping and showing teeth as his 2 buddies stand back maybe 30-40 yards. Before i could do anything my buddy freaks and starts screaming like a school girl and i start hollering at it with a fake charge, lucky for us it worked. Not A Pleasant Encounter!
  14. Yeah Bullsh!t most times get called out around here and yours seem to be on that list more than most! Hope for your sake that Ar never hits statewide.
  15. Really???? These are big deer? Taken in Ny with a bow? The top one i will give ya as a keeper,In the late season if needed, the other 2 are not even shooter deer in my or most any in our groups book.. lol If this is all you have to fight with as your claim to big mature bow kills...you are pissing into the wind. Its not real hard to find a few pics of bucks i have harvested on this site if thats what you need. Time to stop side tracking this post from its started intent and i am sure you will continue to be called out on your..Bow hunting is easy crap by many until you can throw out some real numbers..
  16. Lol...Really.. Those same pics you put up of bucks shot 10 years ago with the hair and skin dried to the skull Big? The 4-5 other guys on this site that hunt around me and converse with me have seen a pile of the bucks that come out of that area to our group. Between our group we all average a book buck every 3 years with our bows. Great hunters in a rough area with our bows and you keep running on about how easy bow hunting is...I call Bullshit!! Plain and simple. I will give ya the part that your little 80-90 inch bucks are pretty easy to kill in any season including bow. I dont believe a quoted anyone or put any names on my post....But if the shoe fits!
  17. Ny laws are a joke. They make so many stupid, stupid laws and then never do anything when broken. Hell for a couple 300 bucks you can shoot your deer at night, with a light, from the road,in your car! And you still get choice of Sex!
  18. East side is much bigger and wilder than the West. The West is laid out pretty simple for anyone to get to the bottom if they so choose. East will get you away from the masses. Use the River Road as your starting point and you will have miles to play with with much of it pretty empty of hunters.
  19. If one was to limit himself to only shooting big, mature great scoring whitetails one would not not be so quick to say its so easy to kill a deer in any bow season. But one seems to keep preaching how easy it is.When Does and baby bucks are what fills the tag i guess it would be pretty simple with any kind of a herd.
  20. The bucks on the park are a total different breed. They are part goat no doubt. After the first few days of gun the bucks shot seem smaller. The mature bucks know the nooks and crannies of their domain and use the wisely. You can spotlight at night and still see them but they just disappear in that bottom in the daylight. Smart Bucks!
  21. They would have to dig pretty deep. Our DNA is not on file. Just a name and a number. It's not open for just anybody to get that info even if they wanted to.
  22. LOL....So regardless of what i do you could give to ***** that you very well could be helping spread the disease that they say very well could wipe out the whitetail deer so you can feed the vermin? Its not hurting deer farms as much as deer hunters as a whole. Maybe you should step up and refuse to take their untested deer?? Guess we all know that answer huh??
  23. I would guess thats from untested whitetails? Funny how the state wants to shut down about Urine sales and other related stuff but let these vectors spread in for miles and miles if dining on positive deer? Go Figure?
