I am pretty excited about taking my daughter out this sunday as its her first time out behind the gun.I have gotten a few other youth hunters their first crack at birds before but I am really hoping she gets a crack at one sunday for her.I will be takeing her out saturday evening to roost a bird and teaching her as much as I can.So post up what happens this weekend with pics of good times, birds down and general anything to do with a youth hunter.Good luck to all the lil hunters and their mentors, and most likely lets all be safe and have a great time!!!

My daughter and I will be out sunday. She has dance competition this saturday so its either sunday or whenever she feels like spending time with her old man.

Downwind Outdoors Killing Turkeys in April??

Look at the leaves on the trees, trees around me haven't even started to bud for the most part. These guys get thrown under the bus quite a bit because they are really good at what they do.The first time I saw one of their videos it was a coyote video they posted on the NYpredatorhunting website and it was in the summer so I immediately thought the same thing. They are a great group of guys and I have meet them in person.I am 99.9999% sure that poaching isn't a game they play -
Awesome job!!!

Very cool, sounds like a great thread to compare what we are all seeing.I hope early Sunday am my little girl sees one flopping around at about 20 yards after her 20 gauge roars!!!

always go in late, maybe as late as afternoon!!lOL

How does it do once its washed?During early deer season I like to wash my clothes as much as I can but also need to start protecting myself.I usually hunt 2-3 days then wash my clothes unless I sweat like crazy.
-
Found it on armslist. He had tons of pics and it looked really good.We will see when it gets here
-
Well I just got a hell of a deal on a Benelli super black eagle 2.Being shipped out on wednesday. Its all black(will have it dipped after spring),I hope it patterns as good as Charles Daily
-
Thats what I bought, whats the best way to use it?Spray it all over like bugspray or spray on clothes only?
-
Had one stuck on me friday after scouting a new spot near Rome,Took all my clothes washed and ready to treat with permathin.Whats the best way to do it?Spray everytime you go out or treat the clothes every week?

Thats what I shoot is Hevi-13,I had 4-5 different choke tubes for it and never got a good enough group to make it a 40 yard gun.My Charles Daily has 1/2 the group at 40 that my 835 did,but my BIL's 835 does as good as my Charles Daily.with my old tube and hevi shot.Just have to get a good one is all.
-
Because I want to get back into a semi.I bought my first 3 1/2 inch pump gun to test the waters so to speak. My first was a 835 and I couldn't get that to pattern to good, then I happened on the charles daily in a trade and its been a good gun.It has a good recoil pad on it now also.
-
I have my grandfathers old A5 and its been all redone so I can't justify to take it as a primary shotgun.I usually take it out with me on a hunt every once in a while to hunt with grampa but its been a while.Thats one reason I am leaning towards the A5.
-
I will be buying used I think to try and save a few $100 bucks. The A5 was simply a perfect fit for me so I may wait a year and see if I cant find one for a good deal.
-
Old skool camo is kick azz!!!!LOL
-
Yup I had a 835 and it was a good gun but I could never get it to pattern as well as my other guns.My friends 835 is the same way.My BIL's can punch a solid hole at 30 yards with some ammo and patterns good at over 50 easy.So I know its just the gun.I dont want to get a lemon though.I think I will keep the old trusty and get a new/used one and see what happens

OK.I shoot a low range model charles daily 3.5 inch pump. The 3.5 inches are a killer on both ends and I want to keep shooting them. This will be for turkey and coyotes/fox mainly. What gun would you go with thats a nicer model and preferably auto but I wont rule out pumps.I know that the pumps kick the sheet out of me and I am done with it.I was at Beikirch's today and fell in love with the new Browning A5 but I am having a tough time justifying 1400+ for the model I want.So what do you suggest??
