I dont think it will get many "new" hunters in the field because they can use a crossbow over a regular bow or a gun.I do see people that for some reason cant use vertical bows getting back into archery season versus just rifle season.I feel its a good thing for NY,I know a few people that cant pull a bow back and it may be a way for them to enjoy the woods a little more

Thats another reason I liked this bow over others.I know the ones I have been considering from excaliber are over 200,that much weight has to be a bear to get pulled back even with a rope cocker

I love this site how if you don't conform to everyone else's thoughts on a subject you are wrong.Who gives a rats butt if there's crossbows,in the same sentence why would anyone bitch about a guy a property over using one.Think back to when they legalized rifles in shotgun only areas and it's worked out just fine.As long as someone isn't doing anything wrong I couldn't give a care in the world.The whole hunting community has slobs in it and crossbows will be no different,I have seen tons dingleberries in the woods and they all weren't carrying rifles or shotguns,and before anyone wants to think this is an attack towards anyone it's not,I shoot with bowtoons all the time.He is entitled to his opinion as is everyone else.Grow up people!!!!!

Totally different animal,the vert crossbow is smaller and more than likely lighter than a normal bow with the draw loc on it,you can get 70-90lbs and 100-125 pound draws with the V crossbow,attach a scope,18 inches ATA and 360 fps with a full size hunting arrow.

I do,shoots like a champ.Love it but I think I will be going back to a Remmy 700 in 223 because it just fits me better.If you interested let me know

In a few of the videos he has guys shooting while sitting,would this be legal to hunt turkeys with this spring?

He uses a bipod in the video and he is also able to brace against a tree.I think that this is a bit better than the traditional crossbow setup this way.

We machined parts for them back in the 90's,before the guy that ran it messed it all up and CP Polk bought them out.In fact I still think I have a machined riser in my conference room.I will look tomorrow if I remember and take a pic.Still one of my favorite old bows.Not fast but would bury deep into anything it was shot at.I killed alot of deer with a Aero Force X-80 and a Lite Force Magnum I had.I would like to find another light force to shoot again

Get good with the 22 first,then go shoot a few 357's 44's and anything int hat area.44 Mag will knock a deer for a loop farther than you can accurately shoot.I had the same notion but never got the chance before life happened and all my expensive toys went out the window 10 or so years back.I want to take a deer with my recurve then I will focus on a pistol deer after that.If you want to get a "deer only" handgun the get a contender or encore.Don't get caught up in the big calibers(big game rifle) till you are used to shooting magnum pistol cartridges.Past that have fun and know your limitations

The Elite is a smooth drawing bow for sure.Check out the Bear lineup and the Xpedition lineup also,quite a few great bows there.My short list was Strother rush XT,Bear Motive 6 and Xpedition 6.I just got a Prime Shift from Moog here on this sight and I like it so far but every time I pick up Bowtoons Motive 6 I think hard about ordering one!!LOL
