Not a single first light gunshot today.to warm.snow next weekend though. Guna wait to hunt good spots again until then

in my opinion that is a extremely heat stressed deer. that just is running out of fight. remember that winter stress here is the equivlent of summer stress in texas. Also i have shot and watched many deer expire and if anyone says that harvesting an animal with a firearm or bow is worse than what mother nature does. they can come see me.

We tried for years to wait until last weekend to kill does and small bucks but there is way to many does because everyone around here kills spikes and lets the does go. So now if we get one in range and doesn't have a buck with her shes done. And BTW the yearling buck I killed yesterday was because of another wonderful leg shot from theneighbor

I agree I run my slow trigger cam actually going with the trail a few yards to one side at approximately a 15 deg angle to just basically look down the trail.

Yesterday got two does and a yearling buck. Freezer is full time for horns now

i shoot lumenocks on three of my arrows and i love them. and the forth reg knock for the p&y buck that i never see haha

Coyotes can be "killed" year round meaning if they are a nusance or getting to close to your house or a nearby neighbor need so help with a dominant male that is to friendly. the furbearer season is when they can be sold.
