  1. mink see how short his legs are compared to body. this is a fisher
  2. heres a few from the last few years of my children and there friends i take out and a few of myself,
  3. cant go wrong with xtp's.
  4. i would say he did taht deer a favor.
  5. i have the spitfire and its worth every penny. took a yote first time out. go to fox pro and order it. i did and you can pick your own sounds and even hear them first, was going to buy at cabelas but had to go with the sounds pre-loaded. same price as well. you will like it.
  6. yes i always put the kids pics in. he in this week with a nice 6pt he got thanksgivin morning.
  7. had a guy tell me about a bobcat climbing a tree and jumping on a turkey and stayed on it right to it hit the ground and finnished it off. he said it was just getting first light on a morning spring turkey hunt.
  8. this is my son isaac (14 yrs old) and his first deer with the bow. isaac decided to grab is bow and head out by the house after school. he had been playing soccer all fall and not much hunting time, he had loged a few hrs. in his stand but no deer sightings despite all the sign and fallen accorns he was hunting above. it was raining lightly and he was doing it the hard way, on the ground still hunting. he paused a moment on a ridge top to look at a rub on a tree and snaped to attention after hearing something. looking to his left he could not believe his eyes a buck was walking right at him on a trail that would offer a very close shot. well with all the excitment of trying to knock an arrow he forgot to pick a spot and missed the buck at 10 yards. the buck took off as isaacs meat seeker slammed into a tree above the bucks vitals. isaac watched the buck run up hill then slow to a walk about 70 yrds above him. he decided to take up after the buck in hope of closing the gap for another shot, well for the next 1.5 hrs and 500 yards latter he was slowley stalking the buck and closing the distance on the browsing buck. he relized the buck was heading back down on the same little ridge he had been on while the buck was just above him all this time. he quickly sprinted ahead as the buck went in a dip to close the distance and got ready for another shot. the buck slowley started down the hill and busted him as he drew and started back up the hill, "all i can remember dad, is thinking pick a spot ,pick a spot as i bleated with my mouth and he stoped at 40 yards and i consentrated on the pin and behind the sholder as the release went off and the arrow found its mark. he took 3 leaps and fell over backwards rolling down the hill." well lets say the excitement in my sons eyes as he bust thru the door "Dad i got a buck,i got a buck" was enough to last the whole deer season.
  9. it is illegal to shot a fisher 1st off unless you are a trapper and it is in a trap. seccond the guy shot several times and had no idea where his rounds were ending up. not good!!!!!!!!!!
  10. the first one is a yote w/the mange. i dont see anything in other 2?
  11. i guess i need to ask why is harvesting a 1.5 old a bad thing? or is it that you guys are having trouble harvesting these smarter, mature bucks so you need to increse there numbers to help you succed in your quest for a wall hanger.
  12. i guess i cant understand what the craze about huge antlers is. is it bragging rights, the need to be noticed. look at me i am a HORN HUNTER. well then hunt hard and be happy harvesting that mature buck every 4 or 5 years. we that hunt for the meat and excitment, time spent w/family and friends are happy harvesting what we want. i hunt here in 4R and 4x (no dmps due to low deer numbers) so the thought of shooting a doe for meat is a no-no even if they give out dmps as a family rule. we are happy harvesting any buck w 3". I dont need some 5.5 year old rutted up buck to put in the freezer. its like beauty fellas it in the eye of the beholder. If you want to pratice AR as a personal preferance that i support your desires, but i hate to see this restriction go state wide. again i spend a lot of hard earned money to pay to enjoy hunting but i enjoy the benifits from it as well.
  13. $362.00 ( 2 ADULTS, 1,16 YEAROLD AND A 14 YEAROLD.) this is the amount of money it cost me this year to lisence our family. we are a single income family whos passion is the outdoors. we dont live on venison, but enjoy it. have you all lost your minds, what has happened to the enjoyment of hunting. how many of you big buck hunters have ever sat in a deer bind with one of your kids or any kid sitting next to you watching the excitment build in them as any deer walks into view. the last thing they are thinking about is counting points, all the built up excitment from months for scouting and shooting is comming down to just a few secconds and the concentration of placing a clean shot to harvest the deer. what are we teaching our youth, if you want to have a TROPHY size limmit then have at it your on your dime. But stop trying to tell me how to spend mine!!!!!! we hunted hard all season to see 1 buck and sat in a rain/sleet storm for 3hr for my daughter to shoot her first buck, this was a priceless afternoon
  14. i found the muzzys online. never had a problem w/muzzys. i just went to mechanicals as not to change my sights from shooting comp. i dont shoot 3d anymore so i will not care about changing sights. i also had great success w/ rocket buck blasters w/a 2 3/4 cutting diameter. used them on deer and bear. 70# out of my darton had no problems putting them thru the other side.
