Tapped out at 11:45. Had the most action so far this year. Second pic I was down below walking to pull cam card. I spotted a periscope creating over the rise of first pic. Same spot I tried to spot and stalk Tom Monday last week. Couple geese hang out there but gave it a whirl to find out. Only saw top of birds head for a second. Using terrain to my advantage I slowly marched uphill. Ok , where’d this thing go ? Then hen at 15’ bedded down in this thick grass flushed scaring me to death lol. Never saw her til she ran and took wing. Another hen 100 yards away did the same. Where I sat today in gully is where birds seen to always come through. Year after year. Back at Saturday. Until then I’ll live the woods through you guys.

My heaviest I know of few years ago

Had 4 hens all come through close at different times. 2 came back few minutes ago. He’s off 150-175 and gobbled just once more now. Deer was blowing at me and hens got little spooked .

Had hen at 11-12 yards. She’s in between us now. He’s hammering

He henned up and shut down. Was roosted probably 125 from me. Hen stopped yelping too.

He’s gobbling hot. Hope hen between us is real not hunter

Couple years ago I had my DSD upright hen decoy out and gobbler came in at a good pace just as a deer was checking out the decoy. At one point i could have rolled the bird shooting between the deers legs they were so close to each other. I've had deer paw(hoof) at decoys and footstomp to get it to move. Jake mount it, fox come in and realize wth and take off running full tilt, have tactacam video of coyote sneak on DSD jake decoy and lunge at it (can hear thwap of plastic in video and he hit mach speed running away thinking ballz that isn't my free meal. Fisher other day ran right past them (that would have been fun to watch him)
