I have always enjoyed these debates and I always have the same response "yes but why?" I have never heard anyone ask if a .308 is enough or a 7-08, minimal recoil bigger holes and heavier bullets. -
I have a few and love them. I think they are the best "bang for your buck" in their price range.

Why get rid of signing over dmp's, I think that is awesome, my uncle can no longer hunt and he loves venison he signs his tag to me I fill his freezer. How is that not a good thing?

I am in northern zone so it is way more than nine days. Ohio only has a 7 day gun season how do they succeed?

I don't agree the last 3 bucks I have shot were all over 3 1/2 one of them was 5 1/2 and not one scored over 110 inches. W NY has potential but not in my neck of the woods. It doesn't bother me at all. If I kill the biggest buck I see for the year I feel like I have succeeded. I have totally accepted I will never shoot a 180" buck.

I spend every possible day in the stand. I don't shoot small bucks. I would love to see a shorter season. The guys who only get a few days are still going to shoot their deer. But it gives bucks a better chance of survival. I am totally against a state wide AR, I don't want Uncle Sam to tell me a buck isn't big enough for the freezer as much as I don't want him telling me how many rounds in my mag. Just my .02$

If you like me are a "shoulder shooter" then I would not change a thing. I do not like tracking gun shot deer. As for the meat damage you will get a lot more meat out of a shoulder shot dead deer than a deer that is never found.

Large bullet diameter of a slug, soft lead and heavy bullet weight. This makes the bullet expand rapidly especially when going thru bone on entrance. A rapid expanding projectile will always give up penetration, not a bad thing unless you want a exit hole.
