    10/19 pm 64 Down in the deep hole stand for two hours. Real quiet night. Pulled the card over the mock and not a lot of action. One small buck two nights in a row and thats it. Looks like a LOT of rain in the forcast so the next couple days are up in the air.

    I'm headed out in a bit, 68 out does not thrill me but with what looks like 3 days of rain coming I need to get out!!

    I have no problem shooting one in a light rain with a bow. I have before and a good blood trail in a light rain stays quite a while. Also, the ground is usually muddy and the deer actually leave a better track to follow. Tracking a deer is not all blood, there are prints, disturbed leaves, a hoof scrape across the top of a downed log lifting up the moss..... Now a steady rain or downpour I'm not going out anyway due to my own comfort as well as recovery issues.

    I pretty much can hunt every day at least one watch. At 82 degrees not a stand I could get to without being sweaty and likely to spook deer and hog up the stand. So I think I'll winterize the boat for storage and wait for cooler weather tomorrow.

    Hey I got a pair of these I still use. When it gets down to the late season and 5 degrees out and two feet of snow they are almost worth how heavy they are!!

    10/16 am 55 Was a very quiet morning and warm. I sat for 4 hours in the far stand out back. At 8ish I had a 1.5 yr old 4 point come right past me at under 15 yards. He then bedded behind me at 25 yards for a few minutes. Something spooked him and he ran about 20 yards or so then settled down and walked right up behind me to my other side no more than 10 yards away and browsed around. He did check out my mock but did not show much interest. After 20 minutes of browsing he eased off. At about 9ish I had another come in the same way and passed by me at 15 yards. This one was a 1.5 year old as well with a 7 point rack. Both got passes as I am hoping for a bigger buck or a fat doe right now. It felt good seeing some deer!

    Getting bigger at 9:15 had a 1.5 yr 7 point walk by at 15 yards If I sit till 10:30 next should be a 10 point[emoji41] And it's now 61 degrees Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Right at 8 I had a 1.5 yr 4 point walk right by me at 15 yards and bed 25 yards behind my stand. Something spooked him after a few minutes and he jumped and ran 30 feet then proceeded to browse towards me and check my mock off my other side and basically hung out for 20 minutes browsing 10-30 feet downwind of me then strolled away. It was a close thing since I just was reading the heart cooking thread lol hope his papa or aunt comes along! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    10/15 pm 67 Out back for just the last 1.5 hours. It was pretty stinkin warm out. Had a yote come by just before dark but a bit too far out. I mouth squeaked and he stopped and came to me to 25 yards but could not get a shot before he realized he made a bad call and took off. That was it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
