  1. Up and in. Cold! 26 degrees! Been seeing more decent bucks show back up on cam but all nights so far. Hope that changes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I'm up and in, 47 and a 7-9 mph wind. I agree I see more deer on less "nice" days.Be it wind, rain or snow. As long as it's not extremely crazy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yea I figure lots of folks have random odds and ends laying around like I do that they necessarily are not trying to gouge for. Like folks on this site and why I would not bother even looking on there. I have like 4 boxes left and I shoot a box a year. Eventually I will have to turn over to Hornady but figure if I find a couple here and there cool.
  4. No worries, sometimes we get a lot of content response that no one read the thread. No offence meant or taken.
  5. We know this, hence the they no longer make these.......in my post.....
  6. 73 degrees, nope not gonna do it! Good luck out there lol! Big cool off Thursday. I may just stay away till then.
  7. These babies Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I saw Otto's post and figured heck why not try. You all see more ammo supplies than most!! They do not make Lightfields any more but my Ithaca loves them. I am always looking if anyone has any laying around to buy. 20 gauge only.
  9. 10/24 pm 64 Sat for 1.5 hours in the Chicken Stand. With it so warm this spot is just off the back lawn. Slip in slip out with wind in face. No noise, no sweat and unfortunately no deer!
  10. You lost me at Fiddlehead...mmmmm no jk. Their original is a good beer. Been to the brewery a few times. It would not stop me from bowhunting there in the morning for sure. Just take good shots on relaxed deer, Don't let Wiley win!
  11. Your just enhancing my point. In 1970s I did not have access to moisture wicking, wind blocking waterproof quiet gear!! My biggest expense was that wool jacket and it weighed 400 pounds wet lol. If I wanted only sweat wet feet I'd use bread bags over my socks lol. The base layers and gear I use now insane compared to it. And always pack my outer layers in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I am as well tshirt hunting. Low impact stand 50 yards off the corner of my lawn wind in face. 4 fresh scrapes in view. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I bet the bunch of deer take off as the wounded deer hit the woods was actually a few yotes and they were on it minutes after he shot it. Just piss poor luck and a yote problem. I rarely see more than 1 or 2 together. Except a mom and pups when they are real young. A pack of 5-6+ would really cause havoc. I'd be inviting over the yote hunters! 14. 10/23 am 48 Sat out back in the Ridge Stand for 3 hours. So slow......Nada
  15. 10/22 am 44 Out in the Stone stand behind the house. Pretty slow morning. At about 9am had a doe and 2 fawn run at me from my downwind side? The doe did catch my sent and milled around and came in to 25 yards or so. She was on the small side so for now is buck bait. She settled down and they eased off after a bit. 2.5 hours.
  16. 10/21 pm 64 @ more hours in brush blind above the swamp in 7F. Crazy mosquitoes. No dice.
  17. Late Happy Birthday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Pulling the plug soon to go frag the grass. Then GO SU!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Had a doe and two fawns run in to me from my downwind side. Came in hot lol. She was not very big so did not try to move on her. She's buck bait right now. If she was a bit fatter I'd of made orphans no problem. Only 1 adult doe here is safe and that's my triplet machine. Trips 3 outa last 4 years! If she busts and blows at me again that deal may be off too lol! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. As others have said you do not need a lot of money to hunt. But you sure can if you want to. The one thing I will pay more on is good boots and clothes. I froze my friggin azz off from the age of 10 for 20 plus years wearing 3 pair of cheap socks in snowmobile boots, two pair of jeans over cotton thermals, three sweatshirts under a 50 pound wool rich coat. My fingers and toes hurt just thinking about it. That said don't judge what you don't know. I'm wearing Sitka right now. Cost $0. Hand downs of a set my brother bought at half price 10 years ago lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Up and in. 44 degrees. Loudest walk in this season with potato chip leaves. Nothing sneaking past today! Supposed to hit 69 later! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. In at 4:30 above swamp. Brush blind again as wind is good. Good thing it is 64 out as my jacket is still hanging up at home! [emoji849] already shot right under a grouse at 30 yards and sank an arrow into a root and cracked it.... Mosquitoes love the fact I forgot my jacket. Im starting to wonder what kinda black spell that coven of witches hexed me that I ran into leaving here last night!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I got this for Xmas and been using it. So far so good and saving me $$$$ on throw away chemical ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. 10/20 pm 50 Sat in the state brush blind above the swamp for 2 hours. Had a small solo doe come right in at me. She saw me move but never figured me out or blew out. Just wandered a bit around and eased off. When I came out there were like 6 cars in the lot and I was like wowa this is getting pounded. Then I see a green haired witch and then a line of like 5-6 more coming outa the woods trail on the opposite side I was hunting. Pointy hats and all. I said ello, got in my truck and outa there before I got sacrificed!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I'm out above the swamp in brush blind. Good wind, now just need some venison to stroll by. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
