I've packed Elk roasts in carry on bags before lol. I was wondering what anyone found for a cooler that would meet size specs. I am flying Frontier and they say cooler is fine and dry ice.

So the boy and I are driving down my mothers car to FL a couple days after Christmas. They are too old to make that drive anymore and will be flying. So we decided to have a little adventuring to the trip. We took a recommendation from bugsandbows off another thread in this topic and decided to do a FL hog hunt with West Shore Outfitters. We are doing a thermal night hunt and an inshore fishing trip a couple days later for reds and trout and such. So if successful we want to bring back the meat. It will be all butchered and frozen. Any recommendations on coolers to fly with that meets 62 linear specs? Would like to fly back a <50 pound cooler of meat with dry ice or 2. Something relatively cheap and easy to get at a common store or Amazon.

When I got down this morn I checked the track on that limping buck I saw. He was dropping a very small drop ever 30-40 yards or so of blood. He went into the super thick hole. I got no buck tag hope he makes it. Weird he was covering ground fast. No shots heard maybe car struck. In the executive tower tonight waiting on a doe. There was a spike in the yard at noon. Ouch Moog! I got back in town last night. My First Light gear was in so in the wash it went and I had to try it out this morning! 26 out and about a foot and a half of snow compacted down to 10 inches. So post opening weekend the hunting has been slow. I’ve jumped two deer all week. And the rest of the group is experiencing the same. I had hunted turkey morn and Friday all day and zip. My daughter got in a car wreck Friday night at college and totaled one of our cars. Nobody was hurt thank the lord. So Saturday I was in Ithaca with her. Got home late Sat and hunted Sunday morning out back for almost 6 hours as the storm rolled in. Came in for a break then headed back out to another prop during the freezing rain. That turned to snow after a while. I had moved this stand two weeks ago from the outer Hole, where I had 2, to this spot closer to an overgrown field edge. This is the first time I have hunted it. It was actually so miserable I was going to pull the plug and skate out a little early. I had actually swung up the shooting rail on stand and took one last look around before I was going to start pa king up my gear. I look left and the right and hey now, see a deer walking down the small ravine to my right before the field. I see right off he is a shooter snot 80-90 yards. The 7mm mag dropped him. Really nice 8 point. We have him on cams and I think I saw him in bow. He is a big deer hit my scale at 160 pounds. I gutted him then drove home and got the boy to help me drag him out. Well maybe I wasn’t stupid for sitting through the frozen rain after all. He came sneaking out at about 4:15, I was seriously thinking about quitting a few minutes early as I am leaving for a work trip tomorrow. I took one last look around and wo now. 20 degrees and a cold breeze. Just a covering of snow and loud as all heck. I head in just about to pass above the tower and deer start running all over. In tree at 6:15 and sat in a steady rain for 50 minutes. Wore the wrong outfit was not thinking rain was gonna be significant. Was more focused on wind. Anyway it’s 38 and 5-8 mph with gusts 20. Yea me and the boys need to knock some down too. I got two 1.5 year olds in the freezer and half of a 2.5 yo. That is only half of what I need. I need 50-80 pounds for jerky, 20-30 #s for canning. More for sausage and sticks......oh man

I have some second had Sitka gear. I have the Fanatic which is just sit gear. I also just ordered a set of First Light Solitude that I am looking forward to testing out.

Heck they are only 1hr 15 min from me. I may have to shoot two or three deer this weekend!!
