See I was thinking more of the Rings and maybe even scope body's more than barrel distortion. Being that rings and scope body's are so thin I'd think that extreme temperatures changes could move them...how much I'm not sure but would think in a rifle looking down a 3 or 400 yard shot a few thou movement at the gun would be huge out aways....again just wondering if it happensSent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

So as a machinist I deal with various tolerances on parts from +-.0002 to +-.005 Now when having to hold tight dimensions temperature makes a big difference because metal expands and contracts with temperature change. That being said Do you sight in your gun in similar Temps to hunting conditions like hunting last year in 20 and below did u see if scopes still on? Do you keep guns in garage or similar temp rooms during season to stop from expanding and contracting? Been a long season for me from losing 2 with bow to no shots in rifle season...1 miss Saturday and a dead doe today 140 yards broadside after we jumped her and she stopped to look back Buddy's also got one today button buck with a previous injury that I wish I had taken a pic of while we were going to look for his ramrod...lol long story let's just say it's his 2nd one in 2 years Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

Well lot of action today put a nice stalk on in the snow ended up getting a shot on a doe bedded down witch I ended up rushing and missing. First deer I have seen sence opening day so got to antsy. All and all a good day in the woods back at it tomorrow with more fresh snow... I like mild sent use and the basic grunt rattle and bleat can seems to work good when the deer are interested...if they don't respond they likely won't no matter what you try Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

I still believe in the areas I hunt other than hitor in naples it all came down to weather and lack of others willing to walk around in 50 plus degree weather. Deer don't need or want to move with that winter coat on and the abundance of food locally. I saw a ton of deer during bow season and they were seen opening day (just not by me) so I know they are there but without guys moving and keeping them on the hoof sightings are down. Again just my opinion on my areas I hunt. As far as the stateland in naples area I can't explain that never in my 15 years hunting it have I not even gotten a shot. It was terrible and I do think it has a little to do with lack of guys moving but I ran a known bedding area I bump deer outta every year and didn't jump any this year so idk what happened there Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
