I bought a mossberg 30_30 few years back had a group come in first forgot to turn safety off pulled trigger click. ...deer didn't run....wasnt thinking and instead of pulling hammer back I rechambered a round lined up a shot....and click forgot again....then they ran wasn't very happy deer make you do the darndest thing...lol

I am color blind so this is something I've done and tried. ...it works....i bought the cheap Remington flashlight from walmart with the red and blue blood finding color. ...the blue really makes the blood jump right out even I can see it. I tracked my deer myself the last 2 seasons because of it. Normally have to call for backup before I trample all over it....

Deer here still on summer eating patterns as of friday...head to the fields about 6ish....hunt the edge of field right before dark....that's what I'd be doing if i was going to be in woods next few days.

My uncle fell out once and broke his leg....before cellphone days....had to crawl all the way to truck and drive home...lucky wasn't far but could a been much much worse.....

I'll tell you that is what makes bow hunting so hard...it's not the shooting part it's the suspense of watching and waiting for a shot to present itself ik that's what gets me gives me time to get excited and shaky I love it.......not like gun season when pretty much just wait for a deer to show and range isn't a real factor just need to stop for a few seconds....but I love still hunting with my shotgun....good luck ladies and gentlemen

Depends on the time of season....early off I will let them walk...as season progresses I may take one....and fletch is spot on. The doe I took last night didn't have any fawns around just other big deer. She did have milk so apparently there was fawns somewhere I'm sure they will be ok as the coyote population around here isn't as bad as other spots of the state. -

Just outta curiosity you fellas who want the coyote population down do you give trappers access after deer season is over....i have a few pieces like that where the landowner gives me permission to hunt/trap after deer season....but they want to see results otherwise they move on to next guy. ...just a idea helps both parties

But I'm not a trophy hunter....I'm a outdoorsman and the doe I shot last night was just as thrilling and tasty as the really nice 8pt I shot last year....besides can't eat the head gear....congrats again on the buck he's a dandy

Yea....ok point made......but still more of it is on being able to control yourself than predicting the bow....the bow is constant....my constancy goes out as soon as I see a deer....i get deer fever bad bad bad and I'll admit it....it's what keeps me in the woods....glad I didn't wound her tho....

Oct 2 630 pm shot a doe bad shot my fault completely spined her...didn't go far tho...first kill with a bow.....wish it was a better shot but glad I didn't wound her

Had a bad shot but she dropped within 60 yards....was 15 yards out ended up spineing her....yep ik my fault just glad I didn't wound her....
