  1. That would make a great addition to any trophy room..
  2. I have hunted with my bow sence 14 and am now 26 have yet to get one....had shots but not connected....i shot my first deer with shotgun at 17 and quit counting....but I am going for my 4th straight 8 point if I connect this year....and all but 2 deer have been taken with my dad and uncle in the woods with me...can't beat that.....about 4 or 5 years till my son will come out for deer...but here's today's harvest bc he had a blue (really good) day at school he's 4 in pre_k
  3. Yea it was crazy i knew they were around but to see 2 in separate spots was wild....especially down here in 9x
  4. Was just squirrel hunting with my boy for awhile...saw 2 fishers thought that was pretty cool. Heard of guys seeing them but never seen on what a cool looking animal even got to watch it climb a tree....
  5. Depending on where you are there might be someone here with a trapping licence willing to take them off your hands....I'm in southern tier near olean if your around her I could help.....lol
  6. In another post Soggard (sorry if spelled wrong) brought up the point of making sure you know what to do after the kill. I have hunted specifically for bear for a few years now up in ADKs and to be honest I'm not sure how to dress a bear. Anyone on here break it down for me or know of a good link. I've done many deer and guess I assumed it would be the same. And if it makes any difference If I harvested one I would like to get a rug done if thay changes the way you do it. And a deer dressing link would be cool here to for the new hunters around....thanks in advance
  7. Doc is spot on....if your willing to try different things and learn different ways of approach you will have a much better time in the woods....i have hunted my entire (short compared to most here) life and every time I walk in the woods even if I've hunted it forever I still learn and see stuff thay amazes me. Don't be afraid to walk especially if you can bc someday we all won't be able to as much. I see more and learn more about hunting and the art of the stalk when I'm on my feet it's a skill and a passion for me....find what works for you take your time and learn from others.
  8. Just don't get caught with those scary evil wrist sling shots
  9. I small game hunt in my hunting areas and don't think it affects them to much....until the lead is flying at them at least
  10. Even tho I am in a union and like my job....i would vote for almost anyone who ran against Cuomo as I believe the 2nd amendment is equally if not more important than many others. We can't let them take our freedoms and it starts with the 2nd bc without that how are you going to protect the rest?
  11. It sucks but every time I buy anything in this state I pay tax witch pays his salary so can't really avoid giving him and his crooks money.
  12. Still seeing spots here in the southern tier.....saw 2 this am on way to work
  13. Sounds like your in a lot better shape than I am lol....but is a cool idea

  17. I have done it multiple times while in college short on cash with my dad growing up....to me I'd rather pay someone with good refrences to do it and right....i found a guy locally who does it with his sons and brothers who will make anything you want for 70 bucks....i had 3 different kind of sausage, 3 different kinds of dogs, few roasts and loins all cut by him for same price. ...couldn't beat it. Do have to send dogs out to be done tho....hunts in canasaraga....spelling? That did cost a bit but fantastic product.
  18. I went to runnings in Canandaigua yesterday with old man....was pretty impressed overall could get just about anything there pretty cool...i recommend checking it out if you have the chance....no 22 shells unless we're willing to pay 30 and get the target and 100 rounds lol....but prices seem decent and outdoor clothing section was impressive...
