  1. With these high winds I'm doing some stalking through some thickets. Just had a spike walk up 10yds from me Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  2. This was 1 of the 2 bucks I saw this morning. Not the one I was hoping to see, but big bodied and will make some yummy sausage and bologna. Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  3. Just caught a glimpse of a big bodied deer about 70yds out Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  4. If she's on alert from human scent she's gonna duck. I would say get in there in a few days and take her out, but with the rut coming you might need her around. Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  5. I'm back up on the oak ridge. Mildly breezy. Scrapes were freshened overnight. Gonna set a cam on my way out. Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  6. Did some mid day scouting and found a fresh scrape line in the oaks. Came back with the climber. 8N Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  7. First morning sit. Super quiet so far. I've only heard maybe 185 shots[emoji1]. My bowsight pins were barely glowing when they began shooting Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  8. Just sighted in my new 4K pro yesterday and was able to put it to use on a nice yote tonight. 58gr v-max. Bang flop Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  9. This is also the season for Shaggy Manes. I seen a few buttons at a jobsite a few days ago Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  10. Gonna check my hen spots tomorrow. The only one I've found this year was about 2 weeks ago in my yard under a big locust Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  11. Hens are still a few weeks out. That looks to be a turkey tail fungi. Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  12. Correct. Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  13. Well I can tell you that it is a species of Agaric with scales on the cap. I'm at my surgeon appointment so I don't have my books handy. There are many books and online resources, but I advise caution on using photographic identification without other testing such as spore prints. Agarics are tough and some can be deadly. There are a couple dozen other species that are easier to ID. I'd recommend starting with puffball, oyster, chanterelle, maitake, sulphur shelf, morel, shaggy mane and black trumpets. Good luck Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  14. Don't know off hand. Nothing that I've bothered with yet Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  15. Orange slime mold Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  16. Looks like slime mold Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  17. Yep you have species of Herecium. I'm guessing Herecium erinaceus(lions mane). I've only eaten this particular fungi from a local commercial fungi farm. I found it quite tasteless and boring which indicates that the probably cultivate it in a sterile environment. It does have great health benefits. Brain food! I have found Herecium americanum(Bears Head Tooth) and it's quite delicious with seafood taste/texture. Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  18. Looks like Amanita Muscaria Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  19. Hope you heal up well and start putting those quarters in the broadhead jar Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  20. Looks like a Definite Tussock Moth(Orgyia definita) Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  21. They're all edible once! There are a dozen or 2 species that are pretty foolproof after enough time spent searching for them. Luckily their seasons are spaced out so that if the weather cooperates there is potential for finding some spring, summer and fall. Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  22. Dewberry Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  23. First 2 are poisonous. Amanita muscaria var. guessowii 3rd one looks like a bi-color bolete which are delicious. Just make sure the spores on the underside of the cap are yellow and NOT red or orange. "They do bear some resemblance to Boletus sensibilis which is poisonous. B. sensibilis bruises strongly blue immediately. B. subvetipes has orange or red pores and is also poisonous bruising strongly blue to blue-black immediately. Red and orange pored boletes should not be eaten. Beginners should also stay away from any strongly blue staining mushrooms". Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  24. Edited from 14 to 6 I was giving a point to all that I HAVE done. Sent from my SM-S767VL using Tapatalk
  25. I sometimes let my beer or whiskey sit near the smoker for a minute or two.
