After a not so successful spring turkey season. I finally got one. Put a perfect shot on it. Dropped it in its tracks. Gotta love the max reds/rage combo [emoji106]
-
Do I hunt fall turkey I've been out a few times with my one line decoy and called every little while for a couple hours. I was set up in a field. Is that bad? I don't even know where to begin when it comes to fall turkey.

I'd you could only choose one broad head for the rest of eternity. What would it be and why?
-
I love em I shoot the rage chisel tip
-
I picked up a pack of the NAP Killzones the other day on sale for 30 bucks. The blades stay closed they are wicked wicked sharp. And they fly great. And they don't open in the quiver. This is the first season that I've shot rage and the blades have opened in my quiver and while an arrow is nocked. I'm kinda disappointed
-
Today was my first day I was able to go out. And it's pouring rain I'll try to head out this afternoon
-
Shot at a buck and missed arrow flew right over his back. Just to be safe and make sure I didn't hit him I checked my arrow. Got back up in the stand nocked an arrow and did a Doe bleat kinda thing and a doe appeared out of thin air. Haha it all happened with in 30 seconds

Technically 3. You get either sex for bow. A regular season buck and then you get an extra if you hunt muzzleloader and that's antler less
-
For those couple of guys who told me to try the kill zone by nap. I went out and bought a pack so hopefully I'll be able to see how they work really soon
-
I'm also gonna try out the rocket hammerheads. I don't know. Few days to go. Can't wait
-
I understand where you're coming from. I shoot a fixed blade head as we'll and I love them

I got a better picture - Please Age and Score Him?
THHuntNY replied to DaSwampBuk's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
The age and score is shoot him -
I have not had a single problem with the rage heads I will continue to use them. Everyone says the blades open on flight or open in the quiver. I've never had anything bad happen with them. And I say before people bash mechanical heads they to try one for themselves
-
Has anyone had blades come off a rage head? I never have had that happen but I've heard some bad stories about that too
-
I've thought about using the kill zones but from things I've read and seen they look like they don't have great penetration. Id love to try them.

For the past few years I've used the rage titanium. But they discontinued them. So I picked up a pack of the chisel tip(2 blade) how do they work and I've had some mixed feeling about using rages because of all the horror stories about them. Some guys swear by them and some guys won't even acknowledge their existence. Why is that and for what reasons?

I'm not very good at explaining things so bear with me. I might be a little off on some things but a mechanical offers field point accuracy while some fixed heads often need tuning of your bow for them to fly accurately. With mechanicals there is room for failure but very rarely will that happen while fixed heads will cut each and every single time on contact. Mechanicals also offer a bigger cut then fixed blade heads. And if you like the challenge of hunting turkey adding the archery to it makes it that much more fun. Bow hunting in General is that much more fun. And once you pick up that bow you'll fall in love. I think all archers can say that

Ended up going with the NAP apache 8-inch
-
How does that one work for you?
-
Seems like it's like that with everything. Haha
-
Well I might have to give 'em a try. They sound like a kick a** head
-
I've never use one but I heard you don't get a lot of penetration with the kill zone because the retention spring that holds the blades takes a lot more force to open.
