  1. It seems like our end goal is all the same. Curb illegal immigrants in this country. Thats as basic as i can put it without digging so deep we turn this into other topics. Curbing illegals. So we have that in common. Where we differ is our approach to achieving that goal. Im in favor of putting our laws to work ( actually enforcing them ) and stop incentivizing illegal immigrants with benefits. We do that by hitting them in the pocket. Without dollars going their way it would curb most of the issues imo. Not a tax dollar spent on our dimes. We could even enforce the border more efficiently by bringing home military personnel who are protecting borders around the world and put them on our own border if we choose to go that route. On the wall side of the argument it seems like most of you are in favor of a bigger govt. giving more power to the federal govt and the responsibility to do something effective with our tax dollars. And if history is correct, I don't like our chances on that. building a wall with more tax dollars and giving the govt the power contain us with snipers? We aren't in favor of a gun registry because of the possibilities of a government misusing their power, but we are OK with building a massive wall that essentially could keep us locked in? It seems nice that people are offering their free service, but id really want to see action then. Are average Americans going to take a week off of work, buy a plane ticket or drive to a border state and work for free? We couldn't even get people to go to the jihadi bike ride in New York State because they were too busy turkey hunting, but people are going to travel thousands of miles to work for free for a week? Lol.
  2. Your key quote. Only with leadership that wants it to work. That's what we need. All we can do is take the people who are running this election cycle at their word and hope for the best.
  3. I really don't know too much about masonry, I just found it to be pretty straightforward into the point. as far as dollars are concerned. But maybe the engineers that he was citing were all lying. Idk. I thought conservatives are supposed to be for less spending? Yet people are all about getting the wall up with more taxes. The taxes taken out of every check of mine are laughable. Trump is just saying this stuff to pander to those who want to hear this. He even knows this is never going to happen. He's too good of a businessman to waste money on something like this
  4. Changed on what? I still don't think a wall is the most efficient way to tackle this problem. Why should those numbers change my mind? Each one of those issues could be tackled without a wall. So adding MORE of a tax burden is your solution. Because a wall would be coming out of your paycheck.
  5. Nice. Good to hear. I only went out a few times but got skunked on the river.
  6. lumpy strippers. ill pass lol where were you? Did you get them up the hudson? . gonna do a summer trip out of montauk. caught a real lunker last summer, and killed the sea bass as well.
  7. My dog was attacked by a pitbull when he was a puppy. The pit had him by the muzzle and was shaking him like a doll. Luckily there was somebody near who pounced on them. But the owner of the dog told me that her dog was just "playing". He had several open wounds but the vet said since it was on the snout they couldnt stitch it. It took some time to get my dog comfortable again around other dogs, but I was careful about who he played with. Now he is fine. Happy your dog is ok. Im sure he will get over it. Best of luck
  8. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/06/07/poll-gary-johnson-largely-unknown-and-polling-in-double-digits/
  9. . Yes. but we have tropps spread out all over the world lrotecting other countries borders. Lets bring them hom and put them on OUR border if need be. We also have walls up. How are they working? Not good by the looks of this post lol. So mYbe a wall is t the andwer since we already tried that......
  10. Im not in favor if a wall. It will be a burden in the taxpayers once again. just cause im not in favor if a wall doesn't mean i am happy with our current situation. But you gave some good points in your response that would curb illegals. How about we start enforcing our laws already!!! Lol. Thats where we could start. Also look at why people are coming. If we didn't incentivize them they wouldnt come illegally. Hit them in their pockets and we solve the problem. But we have politicians who pander to illegals for votes yet on the other side we have farmers who hire illegals to save a buck. Lets heavily fine those who knowingly hire illegals. and the people whonare already here illegally we need to make them taxpayers. Nobody is getting rid of them and thats the reality if the situation. but the laws in place need To be enforced and we can no longer incentivize illegal aliens.
  11. M80's were responsible for the demise of all my toys
  12. Im all in favor of people who want a wall to be built to donate their hard earned money for it. Im good with my taxes already. They're already being used frivolously . Ill also pass on a wall that has snipers on it. Nobody wants a gun registry in this country because it could be a double edge sword, where the good intentions are possibly used for bad. But you are ok with a wall with snipers that won't let anyone in or out. Sounds like a martial law wet dream.
  13. Nice compound. But I'm not envious of anything france has to offer lol. I like the top description "village men defend fort". I wonder if the germans took notice of them lol???
  14. lol. it looks like a lawn where the sprinkler system broke. try and imagine that !! lol
  15. Id beg to differ. Ron Paul received more donations from active military personnel in his 2012 run for president than all other candidates combined. I think that holds some weight. What makes you say that they don't care tho? Im curious as to why you think that.
  16. it might, but its a good way to keep us in as well..... Also, we could easily achieve a solution if we attack this issue financially. Im assuming you watched the vids i posted. They detail a pretty specific plan on how to fix this issue without a physical wall. Tell us why hitting illegals in the pocket by eliminating the welfare state wouldn't work?
  17. If your referring to DT, I think he is talking about a physical wall. But I don't think he even believes in it. Sounds good to pander to those who want to hear that, but he is a smarter business man to think this will be a sound financial idea.
  18. Ron Paul hit it on the head. We care more about the border between pakistan and afghanistan than or own border. Lets be smarter here in the usa. a wall will be a massive waste of OUR dollars. Mexico aint paying for squat. we all know that.
