One hell of a 6 pointer - what do you think?
mxsmitz201 replied to moose's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
my friend shot a 120" six point last year right up the road from me. looks very similar to that, tad bigger. definitely wouldnt hesitate bow or gun on a unique buck like that. -
lol what a change in pace. yesterday was crazy with all the activity. today NOTHIN. glad to see im not the only one, my friend in sherburne said it was very slow for him too.
-
WOW.... looks like he had a bad case of those flies (dont know the name) layin eggs in his rack.
-
the quotes you quoted him saying were in response to statements you said directly to him... then he responds and you say no need for drama. maybe you didnt specifically say drama queen but its not hard to see where your getting at. and no im not bored. just nit picking like the rest of you.
-
lol no need for drama!?!? hahahaha nothing like stirring the pot then when he responds calling him out for a drama queen

familiar with empeyville/46 corners? take wolcott hill rd right out of camden and its like a 15 min drive before you hit the state lands. i drive my truck and camper right down the truck trails which are the snowmobile trails in winter (how i know my way around there) and camp out in one of the pull offs for a weekend during northern bow, i also go fishing in johnny smith pond and a few of the other beaver ponds out in there during summer. lots of good times in those woods. pm. me and ill show you where i mean. lots of good sign up in there, had deer everynight/morning i hunted.

chicory with some clover mixed. cant beat that for your situation, which sounds a lot like mine. my property is situated in between crop fields, and consists of maybe 5 huntable acres if im lucky. before my property was more or less a causeway to and from the crop fields deer didnt stick around they were always on the move nothing attractive there, now its a destination. im a huge advocate for chicory, deer love it its like crack for them lol. my friend who i get it from says its one of his biggest sellers. its cheap too if you buy it from a local grainery/seed store.

Saw a buck joggin across the neighbors horse pasture headed toward a known bedding area at 2pm. Decided to get in my hut early today which is 50 yds to the left of the bedding area. Doe popped out into my brassicas 35 yds infront and sure enough the buck was hot on her tail. This was at 430. Currently watchin doe lick the branches along a field edge 250 yds away. The young Bucks are starting to get interested and make mistakes now.

Im certainly not an anti and agree completely with that statement. But i understood what he meant by using the term and thought since it seems you need a law degree and a dictionary at your side to post on these forums id atleast back him up with the dictionary.

Definition of murder can easily be used in this situation. Not only does it mean unlawfully killing another human being but also means to kill brutally or inhumanely.

Seems like everybody and their brother uses rage broadheads yet they are the ones i hear the most problems with. Which makes sense since they are so popular youll hear more about them but nothing about them turns me on. Im perfectly content shooting my spitfire maxx's,

Looks like im headed in without seeing a darn thing. Hope the afternoon sit is better

im kind of perplexed how a fire chief could not have known that hunting season was open. almost everyone i know whose in the fire dept. is a die hard hunter lol never even caught wind of it?

Hunting conditions following frankenstorm Sandy?
mxsmitz201 replied to agross's topic in Bow Hunting
the deer were definitely active in my area tonight as soon as the wind died off.. of course right after legal shooting light. while in stand it would be dead calm then big gusts of wind for short periods, deer didnt move to much during prime time for me. -
i have a 6p and 7j.... looking for a 7m
-
I understand that lol but i meant a traditional compound/recurve bow. Perfect day to be in the stand if you ask me, wind is very calm, no rain and right after a "huge" storm. I saw a buck out in a field around 2 today i think theyll be moving now

Which Camera to Get - LLbean.com

Cuddeback attack IR. Got one for christmas changed the batteries in the spring and im still using the same ones. Can record videos and has many options for time between pics as well as a "plot watcher" feature. It is silent as well no camera noise that i can hear, unlike my wildview which scared the shyt out of me one morning. -
There is one in new hartford/utica under the arterial across from conmed and home depot. Cant think of the name but its a nice little gunshop
-
mildly gusty with sustained winds around 10-15 mph, starting to lightly rain. storm has definitely been overhyped for my area, Utica NY. schools were let out at noon lol my mothers work in syracuse told everyone to stay home dont come back until wednesday, shelves are empty at the grocery store, good luck buying a generator there arent any left lol oh yea, and of course the storm just so happens to be headed right for refineries in NJ area that account for 7% of our gas, so expect gas prices to go up, no surprise to me. i would have expected them to go up even if they werent in the path just using the storm as an excuse to squeeze a few more dollars out of us.

does every camera you hang get these kind of results? lol you have a knack for finding the action
-
sweet videos!! really enjoy them!! i set my cedar post up at the end of august, since then ive only ever gotten pics of does licking the branches. not a single buck. but today while in my stand i had the pleasure of watching 2 different bucks come by and make a rub on the post. going to set my camera over it and leave it now that i finally have some action on it. ill be sure to post any pictures!!

i wish there was such a thing as an ambidextrous bow. i only shoot left handed because im left eye dominant but could and have shot right handed just as good. neither eyes are bad but my left eye is just that much better.
