I picked up a small camo chair with a carrying strap from Gander Mountain for 25 buck, carries well has a storage pocket, and Very Comfortable. I tilt back againt a tree and brush in. I only use a ground blind if it looks like rain.

I hunt with a nice Ruger 44 cal carbine, semi auto light weight, bought it used from a family friend. I also picked up a gently used remington semi auto 30-06 nice to have a couple of options. Look for a good gun shop and you'll be suprised at the used guns out there.

Sorry to hear about your injury. Lost 1/2 the season 2 years ago with a herniated disc in my back, just glad it didnt happen when I was alone in the woods. Check DEC web site for the suffolk shot gun muzzle loading season in January. Hope you feel better.

4 wheel drive works well to bypass at times. I have also heard that it might be state employees playing games about being under staffed.
