  1. I already told work I'll be sick Wednesday...lol!
  2. Harvested Nov 10th at 0845, he was trailing a doe by 50 yds. She must have been close to being ready to be bred. Gave me a twenty yard broad side shot.
  3. Sitting in 9A, a little breeze but it's dying down, I'm hoping they move with this new weather pattern moving in. They were moving last night, 2 killed in front of my house by vehicle this morning.
  4. Can't believe it's that time already, I recently moved to Pendleton, NY and have been working to much on the new house. Time to stop working and start hunting. Anyone hunt Pendleton, I have permission to hunt some spots around my house. Need to put a few stands up this week.
  5. Saw 1 yearling this morning and back out for this warm evening hunt. No wind and quiet as can be.
  6. Leaving work early to sit the last few hours, beautiful day.
  7. Congrats...you're having a heck of a season!
  8. I did a quick scout after my morning hunt and found 3-4 active rubs that weren't there 7 days ago. This guy is rubbing some very large trees...must be a brute.
  9. Button buck just came by eating any piece of green vegetation in its path. Little guy was on a feeding frenzy.
  10. I've heard more shots this morning than any other day. Ten or more shots before 7...yikes! Maybe geese hunters. So far quiet were I am, bumped a few coming in and they decided to blow the smithereens out of me with snorts.
  11. When I shot her she was quartering away from me. The round exited just behind her opposite shoulder. Went through both lungs and heart. She did a 50 yd death sprint and bulldozed the field as she fell hard. Surprised she went that far!
  12. This morning around 730, I had 3 deer come out of the thick stuff at a full sprint. 1 for sure was a doe, the others not sure. Thinking either a yote or possibly a buck pushed them to me, doubt it was a trespasser. Around 10 min. later this doe tried to sneak behind me...but I caught her movement. Decent young doe probably 1.5 yrs old. Forgot to add, seeing some new scrapes opened up.
  13. Doe down....watched her pile up. Gonna sit here a little bit. Something spooked 4 doe by me.
  14. 9f- heading to the stand, a bit warmer with winds picking up already. Hopefully winds will lay down soon. Good luck out there.
  15. Currently at work wishing I would have come down with the hunting flu. Beautiful day is right and good luck out there.
  16. 9f-Just got setup for my afternoon hunt, wind is almost nonexistent out of the N. Looks like scrape was worked near my stand. Let's hope there out cruisen and moochin around.
  17. Taking my two older boys (11 & 9 yrs) for their first sit. It's warm 47° and breeze. Hopefully something moves for them. Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  18. Between the long cold winter and coyotes getting their fill, I believe the impact is real. This is one of the worst seasons I can remember, deer encounters / sightings are way down for me. Yotes are in for a rude awakening after deer season.
  19. Sucks...not a shooter but had a young 6 or 8 wiff me. Almost no wind but it changed from W to E ever slightly. Oh well...only have an hour left.
  20. Going into work late...quick morning hunt. Cold morning 20 deg. In 9f.
  21. I had some POS steel one of my cams 2 weeks ago. It was a less expensive cam with no real way to lock it up. I confronted my neighbor who has a few people allowed to hunt. Of course he claims none of them would do such a thing.
  22. Saw a total of seven deer. One spiker and the rest doe or babies. Big boys must have stayed in for the night.
