Cant risk heat stroke on a day like this...

His bucks last ride out of the woods in the deere.

My brother in laws buck. Its the buck i shot at yesterday that started the debacle with my bow. So happy it worked out this way, been wanting him to get a good buck for years.

Rattled in this little guy

My brother in law just dropped a good buck. So pumped for him. We are hunting only 125 yards apart, i heard the crash and saw the luminok glowing. Hanging out for another 45 mins atleadt, there was another buck cruising through a moment ago.

Bumped a shooter walking back, hope to get a 2nd chance on a buck today after yesterdays disaster. Goodluck out there.

Obviously now is a good time to move treestands. Got down and chatted with my neighbor. Hes just moving 2. O what a day. Tomorrow morning! Thats when it will all come together!!!

Quick recap, turns out my qad rest was shot. I went to adjust the sight, hand bumped the rest and it moved quite a bit. You could move it left and right with your hand. Turns out the screw to hold it in place backed out but even tightened down still had to much play left and right. So new rest on, papertuned perfect, and sighted in. Now i need a 2nd chance at that buck, or another. Brother in law is hunting the front of my property im out back. Checked a cam before climbing up and id really like to see this guy soon.

Well this is disheartening. I felt like my shot was good on the buck this am but chalked it up to hitting a unseen branch it missed him by so much. Just got back to the house and set up a target at 30 yards. Missing it completely low right... shot the bow last week it was good, havent shot it this week...sooooo mad at myself, not sure when it got bumped good enough to be off a foot left and a foot low at 30. Checked cams on the way in and got pics of a real good one i hope to redeem myself on. Well, sighting it in, eating some lunch and heading back out.

Im sick, just blew it on a good 8pt. He came in with a smaller buck, smaller guy went by drew the bow he stopped in what looked like a opening. Shot arrow hit a branch and off he goes...im wrecked right now.

Lots of commotion behind me, get all excited and... its the fox chasing a squirel.

4th fox seen today, 3 red 1 grey. Definitely more than i normally see.

Just rattled in a red fox...

Bumped 1 doe walking back, also 2 reds and 1 grey fox. Going to be a long day un the tree, hopefully they get movin in this heat.

Had a doe and 2 fawns come out and feed out infront of me until it was time to climb down. Grunted at her a few times hoping she would leave, but nope. So i had my wife send my daughter back to spook them...she walked back a little ways and let out a blood curtailing scream! Well, it got them nervous enough they slowly walked back away from me. Hunting all day tomorrow, gotta get a buck!

This morning around 8am getting the kids packed up to head to school, look out the kitchen and a good buck i saw last weekend stepped out into my field 40 yards from a tree stand...needless to say im up in that tree stand now hoping he makes a appearance before dark.

Didnt see any on stand this evening. Walking out i bumped 2. In my backyard 30 yards from my patio my wife and kids opened the door and said look a deer running in the field, i turn around and a real nice buck runs 40 yards behind me into the woods...o well atleast im starting to see bucks, just not the right place or the right time.

Got home from work, threw on the camo and got back in for a evening sit. Hope they decide to move tonight.

Protecting the gucci camo man! Hell ill change before i get my sitka gear all nasty lol.

Just got back in. Too much rain for me. 1 small 6pt hung out around me for awhile, he was it other than a squirel.

In a tree, did not expect to wake up to hunt this a.m. but i behaved myself at a Halloween party enough that thats were i am...didnt however think about the getting light earlier though. Bumped 1 doe on the way in. Goodluck in these windy conditions.

Just finished rattling, look behind me and 2 deer trotting in. Front one is a 4 maybe 6pt, second one is a good 8 or 10. They never slowed up never got closer than 60 yards...feels great getting that adrenaline pumping!
