  1. Selling this 6.5 grendel upper with alot of extras. Its a 16" ballistic advantage premium series barrel attached to a areo precision upper, with a utg pro mlok hanguard. It will come with the 6.5 grendel bolt but not a bolt carrier. I have 1 box of hornady 123gr sst, 27 rounds of hornady black 123 eldm. Also 3 mags. For this package im looking for $650, this does not include the scope or mount. If you want to reload i have a couple hundred bullets, the redding 3 die set and hundreds of once fired and twice fired brass. If you wanted everything including the scope and mount id like $1200.
  2. Selling this beauty to get a more multi purpose shotgun. Remington 11-87 Premier Skeet 2 3/4" only. Comes with modified and skeet chokes Cant find alot of info on this gun, not sure how long it was produced. In good shape, a few dings on the stock, and a scrape on the barrel. Looking for a local-ish wny sale $700
  3. Thanks everyone, ill definitely try to make my own fleshing board. I have a buddy that had a extra wire fur stretcher, for the time being it should work good for my lack of skills lol. Thanks again.
  4. So sorry for your loss. Keep remembering the good times.
  5. Looking for a yote sized fur stretcher and fleshing board. Cash or i have freedom seeds in different sizes i could trade. Preferably in the wny area.
  6. 6500 hrs! Holy crap thats alot. I did a quick look online and it appears for around that 20k mark looks like you can find some with closer to 1000 hrs.
  7. 1300? Is that the micro 384? If so how do you like it? I have a buddy looking into scanners and the micro 384 looked just as good as my asp tm25-384 but a few hundred cheaper. It is true it is a totally differant world once you have the thermal. I can scan quicker and with 100% confidence if somethings there or not compared to red lights.
  8. Fun night... First set across the street from my house nothin but deer. 1 good buck in the group. Set 2, new big field we hunted for the first time last week. Got setup and started calling. 10 minutes in i picked up 2 dogs to our right. They started moving away but then 1 decided to come in to the call. Around 125ish yards it stopped and gave me a head on shot, everything felt good and at the shot it took off...wtf i tracked it in the scope as it was running hoping it would stop. Finally it stopped broad side at a touch under 300 yards. I held just over its back and fired, we both herd the thump of the bullet hitting and the yote yipped and took off. We waited 10 mins with the call going with pup distress hoping maybe the 2nd dog would come investigate, that didnt happen. So we went and took up the track of the wounded yote. Tracked it for over 500 yards following just small drops of blood. It never laid down in that time so we called it. 3rd set a field in Akron ive hunted quite a bit. Had 2 groups going last week but no one showed up. I changed our setup a little and we moved down and across the field more than usual. Set the call out and begain with some young male howls. Nothing so i switched to male interogation howls. Boom we had some light up a few hundred yards away in a brushy area. I kept the call going until i spotted the 2 emerge with my thermal. Stopped the call and got on the gun. 2 yotes coming in, at this time im trying to get my buddy to pick up one of the yotes and im following the other. He could only see 1 most of the time. They were passing behind a large tree and he finally saw both. I told him to take the one on the right, i got the left one. They were making thier way up wind of the call and i knew we needed them to stop. I barked and they locked up. I said i was ready and was going to shoot. He said ok and boom! We shot simultaneously, my yote dropped, i scan over to his and its up on its front legs but the butt was down, i saw it struggling so i settle the cross hairs on its chest and...it takes off a second before i was able to shoot. My buddy takes a running shot and i took 4 more...gotta practice those i guess. I start watching it in my thermal scanner and see its getting close to a road and crosses it. I loose it at this point. We decided to go get mine and follow his tracks. We find my light yote, good looking color but a bit mangey. Follow his, bloody tracks all the way till we are 40 yards from the road and scan over and its on the other side watching us. We go back get mine and our gear and head to the truck. We park near were his yote was and follow tracks to a bloody bed and then tracks leaving...damn, tracked it over 600 yards. First male ive got this year. Fun night.
  9. Giving it a go tonight. We will be doing akron, a little corfu and then down to attica i believe, possibly arcade also. 1st time wearing the snow camo for the year. Some new spots so hoping we get some yotes coming in.
  10. Definitely up wind, like moog said 60-70, we've done up to 100 yards. They will 90% of the time try to get down wind of the call. Good luck tonight, ill be heading out in a few hours too.
  11. Man too late i guess...good looking setup there. Not that i "needed" it but i dont have a 450...
  12. I have a modified in it currently. I have a 870 lined up to borrow so probably going that rought however.
  13. The problem is finding 2 3/4 non toxic shot. I have steel so it may be what i go with.
  14. I greatly appreciate the offer. Im pretty sure i have a backup lined up if i decide to go that route. Thanks again.
  15. I probably could borrow a shotgun. I procrastinated to long getting a 28" vent rib barrel for my mossy 835. I tried picking one up after Thanksgiving and they are all gone.
  16. Question for you seasoned waterfowlers. My father got a hunt for himself and me and my brother. We go out tuesday, on lake erie. We will be hunting from boat, anywhere from strawberry Island to Seneca shoals. Anyone ever do this before? Ive never been duck hunting, and im kinda stuck bringing my 11-87 skeet special which is 2 3/4 only. Am i under gunned? Guide says its fine but just curious, pretty pumped hope the weather cooperates. Asking this hear since it probably has the most views.
  17. My first vehicle was a 82 s10. Manual, no power steering, no power brakes. Next was a 88 ranger, manual. Then i was spoiled with a 95 gmc jimmy. Damn thing had leather and power windows! Didnt have another manual till i bought a new 2006 acura rsx type s. Fun little car, but was the 1st and last car i would own. Traded that in on a new gmc sierra 11 months after buying the acura. Havent had a manual since 06, unless u count my 09 raptor 700 i have now.
  18. My Dads brit, named duke. Many times he has flushed pheasants after other dogs have passed the same area. Super happy family dog too.
  19. Another one down. Letting my dogs in last night, i always scan my field with my thermal monocular. Saw her running around the field and new instantly it was a yote. Grabbed my rifle and went out back. It was like walking on potato chips getting back there. Made it to the edge of the field and watched her move into some tall grass, couldnt shoot do to houses in the background. So i moved to my shooting shack, covering up the sounds of my steps with a rabbit distress mouth call. As soon as i got in i scanned again and she came back into the open. And thats a wrap, thankful for the thermal again on the recovery. She ran maybe 40 yards into some tall grass, definitely wouldve found her this morning but just had to walk and scan till i found the the heat.
  20. Get good lithium batteries but also get a cellphone travel charger battery pack. My budfy runs one for his wraith, he has a pouch on his stock and runs the cable to the scope. Works good for him, he can hunt all night that way. As far as lights go, either a wicked lights or sniper hog lights. Both are great brands, ive owned both. I like the mount and light adjustment on the wickeds better. The SHL coyote cannon will be the brightest but also quite heavy.
  21. I dont think a permit is required. I think they want you to have a map on you though, which you can get at the office on Casey rd. I could be wrong on that though.
  22. I havent hunted it this year yet. I may go during muzzloader. I usually hunt off sour springs rd if i do go in there. I need to scout more before the season next year, too close to it not to know it better.
  23. Anyone need a youth sized wrist strap release for a kid? Free to u if we can meet up. My son has adopted my scott so i bought myself a new one. Im located in Pembroke. Let me know.
  24. Welp...it was a fun night. 1st spot we were 1000ft from the driveway and a yote crossed the road infront of us into a field on the opposite side we were hunting. It went into a field i can hunt but the wind was pretty terrible for it. We continued to the original field and setup. Not 2 min in i had a group going east of us, its a location were almost everytime i hunt this field they respond from, just cant get to them. 30 mins pass with them sounding off further away now so we pack up and head to the truck. 2 buddies im with want to hit the field the yote ran into, so we go knowing the wind sucks for it. The pic below is the field. We got to almost the corner and i scanned with my thermal and saw 2 somethings where the green crosshair is, wasnt quiet sure and then my buddy puts his red light on them. Boom instantly they take off, theres 3 and definitely yotes. 2 run across and outta the field. One stops and begins to bark at us were the green line ends. Now ive only ever hunted this field once before, i did not know how deep it was. This dog just sat there barking and barking, we were busted and he was letting everyone know. At this point it was like well, ill take the shot, tried steadying the best i could in the muck we were sinking in lol. Boom!, i knew i had missed as he ran off. Wanting to be 100% sure of the miss i walked out there and then relized how far it really was. 326 yards, guessing my bullet probably dropped 6"-8" at that range. Damn...get back to the truck and now yotes are yipping closer to were we started the night and behind us. We decide to try the original field again, and again yotes going but not coming in. 1 more field for the night, new field, very large field. Wind was perfect for it. Had a fox come in pretty much immediately but did the opposite of what you would assume it should do. Came in straight at the call, maybe 100 yards from it, it turned and went into the wind around the field and away from us. 90% of the time they would come in and head down wind of the call which would end up infront of us. Weird...about 10 mins later im talkin with my buddy, scan quick and bam got another something running right at the call. I get back on my gun and see its a yote. Coming in and probably 150-175 yards out from the call it does the same thing and heads into the wind and away from us out of the field...wtf...we were not silhouetted in any way, we were standing under a very large hickory, wind never shifted... I will say im not sure if anyone yote hunts near there, that field had just been cut 2 weeks prior so it couldnt have been hunted much i would guess. O well fun night.
