Same here. I haven't seen a deer since opening day. And I really haven't seen much for doe this yr

They need to make them with a gps tracker! So I can walk up! Knock on the door!! Hello? POW!!! Lights out!!

I live 2 hrs from my camp! At home I'm out everyday. At least for an hr or so. But I also like to let spots rest. Try not to over hunt them. And that shouldn't matter anyhow. It's mine! I bought it! Don't take it. I've hunted public land a lot growing up. I've sat in people's ladder stands that I happened apon. Guess what! The stand was still there as I walked away!! I also have a thing that connects to my phone to view sd cards. And if I happened apon a cam in a area I was hunting on public land!! Sure I'd check the card. And the cam and card would still be there with all pics and in working order when I walked away

Sounds like the same thing that happened to me this yr. this buck showed up on cam then stuff started missing. I really think it was the neighbor kids but after I think about and read this I wonder

Shouldn't have to hide them. Shouldn't have to worry about anything getting stolen! We are sportsman!!! But I guess there are scumbags out there too

Grizz I'm with u. I miss bow season! Woods is a totally different place. One gun season gets here all bets are off. U think we got it bad? Imagine how the poor deer feel!!! Lol!! And as far as cameras I had 2 stolen this yr early bow. I am almost positive it were the neighbors about a 1/2 mile down the road. Followed the wheeler tracks right to there house! But I won't put any cams back up till after season!

I personally have never had it work for me. I have used it without much success. So it don't matter either way to me. I think the company's that sell it are going to take a big hit!

Can somebody explain to me round up ready corn? I'm looking to plant corn for the deer in the spring. Is this safe to use? Can I broadcast it?

Why I mean why? All I was trying to do was get some ideas from fellow hunters on what they do after season to prepare for the next season. And every time some buddy has to say something stupid!!! I do spend time with friends and family and take great care of my family also. I really enjoy hunting and was trying to fund some new ideas! Is that ok!!! Man most of u guys and gals are very cool! But there are sum real winners on here too!!!

I'm thinking of planting corn. Here and camp. I need a row planter tho. Or come up with a different way. And I'm going to let it Stand all season. Hope this helps me and not hurt me. Guess we will see

Also is a lot on how or who cuts the deer. If u take it to a butcher they don't take the time to clean the silver skin off. They cut deer fast to make money. Cut it urself take the time and make sure it's all good and clean. I have had venison that wasn't cooked or processed right and did not like it. I've had it cleaned and cooked right and I love it. Just my .02

Wasn't really asking what to shoot. Was asking what others thought. There is a rhyme or reason to hunting. I have 3 deer in my freezer. Was just wondering what other people thought and there opinion on killing doe! I mean if I didn't ask or nobody asked anything u wouldn't have this forum to post ur opinion. Hmmmm!! A bunch of different ways to look at this. Good stuff. My sons do love venison jerky and snack sticks. Ok now also who here thinks the dec actually has a handle on this? What if they are just trying to whip out the herd here? Possible? And I'm really asking!! Cause some times I wonder. I'm in 9a. And for real I could get 4 permits if I wanted.

Well u guys bring up good points. I'm my dmp they will give u 4 permits if u want them. But I sure don't feel there are that many doe in the area. I say I personally see as many doe as I do buck. I think they get a free pass this yr!
